  1. I think I'd rather ask advice than permission, I would ask for advice, but I won't ask for permission. I'd probably follow the advice however.
  2. Reminds me of one time after I'd changed my room around and got a new full length mirror. I woke up to someone staring at me, jumped out of bed into a fighting stance. Then I realized that the intruder was my mirror image Oh yes I scared myself often enough with my new mirror.. I'd walk into my room to turn the light on and see something.. succeeding by "omg it was just me!".
  3. Congrats . I might make it there one day
  4. We are actually told not to abuse it rather than not to use it. For as far as self confidence.. I don't know, but I like hitting and kicking punch bags and see what happens, comparing things too and then I notice that my left leg is actually still my weaker leg, but knew that already
  5. Won't a 3-section-staff handle similar?
  6. Sounds impressive I will certainly buy it but the nintendo wii hasn't come out here yet.
  7. Wow, that's strange. Especially at the end it sais that martial artists know so many moves that they, as the narrator sais, are overtrained and don't know what to do. This is very very false indeed, all these overtrained moves I know as reflexes. Sure this can happen to martial artists, but what shotokankid said can happen just as well, and is even more likely. Must have been a misplaced 1 april joke.
  8. I'm quite sure it won't, how impossible would that be? But I'm planning to buy it still.
  9. That's nice . I can imagine he stopped lol
  10. I haven't got much experience on this, not much at all. All tactics described seem nice, but for what I've seen they forget the most important thing about school fights... people trying to stop you from behind. So while you are going all they grab you with about 5 persons and drag you away, I've had that happen to me a long time ago and it's learned me not to show that I'm about to attack. But I've never been into a high school fight yet, in 10th grade now. Someone was bothering me slightly however, when he tried to squash me in a door portal with two of his friends I just pushed back and I've never been bothered again, I guess it's just a matter of showing your capability. So in your position, beating him up might not be a bad idea, however I really think that the fight won't last any longer than 15 seconds. Either he has backed up or any of you gets pulled away. The situation in your school might be very different though, actually, this was based on experience from long ago and from what I've heard. Fights just break up real quickly at school. Just my thoughts on this. Myth
  11. I can't even reach my feet with my hands . I suppose I'll be doing stretching exercises daily now though, plan to anyway
  12. If I struggle with a kick I just practise, practise and practise even more on a punch/kick bag. After a while I am perfectly balanced and peform the kick greatly. However some can be tricky to do when there is nothing to hit of course.
  13. We do all these just after warm up and after the end of the training too, we dont hold them for 20-30 seconds at all though. Thanks for your advice. And chillindan if you search on google for images you will probably see illustrations of what is ment. EDIT: And can stretching be done when you are cold or should you do an intense warming up first?
  14. Thank you for your response, can you give me some examples of what those exercises actually are?
