  3. KWON makes a nice heavyweight gi they call their self defense gi. Its a standard heavy karate gi with reinforced chest, back, and knees. Also the lapels are extra thick. https://www.kwon.com

  7. Dragon Ball Z.....Maybe?? Anyway the best way to shorten you gi sleeves is to take it to you local tailor. That is what I have done in the past, and it really is inexpensive to have done.
  8. I hope you weren't watching "will and grace" while you did this. On a more serious note, I have not heard of this brand, how much was it and was it worth the money? Sensei Rick: I bought mine several years ago, a 12oz. black gi, and had it custom fitted to my measurements. At the time it cost me $130US. Hope this helps P.S. In my mind it was worth the $$
  9. I bought my Satori custom made to my measurements, so any shrinkage I believe was factored in for the purpose of washing and drying. It fits perfect, and from what I recall, the staff I was in contact with was very helpful with any and all questions I had
  10. Look for some uneven ground on your walkabouts. A small mound, a slight slope to a retaining wall, that sort of stuff, and adjust your body weight so that you can feel how your balance has changed.
  11. Taz...cuz i like all the spinning kicks in my younger days. The other was pineapple because of my stocky islander build

  13. A nice pair of Eskrima sticks should be just fine. That was what we used when I studied Shotokan and then cross-trained in Okinawan Kobudo
  14. Your best bet is to go to a supplier that carries Shureido. I bought a size 5 Shureido, and its plenty big. I normally wear a size 5 in the Ronin middleweight, and in fact had recently bought a new one, only to find that it seemed larger in size than the original Ronin 5 I bought some years ago. Perhaps in time it just kept shrinking through all the washings. But I prefer a larger gi to one that fits perfect, or has the potential to run small after washings.
