I think you will find various opinions regarding stretching machines or devices. Smoe like them while others don't. In my opinion, I tend to like them because I had one many years ago, and I did find some benefit to it. I am without is as of now, and I find that stretching out now is not as easy as when I was 20-30 years old. Of course I don't have to funds to buy a new stretcher, but if one were to go on sale for a really good price, I might just invest in another one

I'm not sure about the embroidery since its been awhile since I've been to their website. I'm sure they can give you an answer if you email them. They were very good with their customer service from what I remember.

I constantly have my gi's altered in length..both pants and sleeves. That in itself is relatively inexpensive. However, I did get a custom/tailored fit gi made several years back through Satori gi company, and it cost me $130US. Satori is a Canadian company. Its one of my fav gis

I've used the Discipline Hi-Tops, and to date still have not replaced it. It is still holding up well and is very comfortable from the day I bought it. I also recently purchased a pair of Bushido Hi-Tops, and the one thing I like about these pair is the smooth bottom around the ball area of the sole.

You are so right jaymac, MMA is just that.....a SPORT

Columbia River Knife and Tool(CRKT) makes good knives nowadays and are rather inexpensive. I too lost one of my folders at work, and it was a good one too with a spring assisted opening blade. Man was I bum when I lost it. I now won't carry a knife at work over $30.

Well I don't think that any MMA event is set up for any particular style. The rules just won't allow it, so of course, you won't see any of the eye gouges, groin rips, etc that can be reminiscent of any Kenpo art. Just my opinion

Nice one. So how about a review on the shoe from someone in the know? C'mon P. They are actually quite nice. The flat sole makes it easy to pivot on so there is less to no chance of snagging your foot on the surface your standing on. I have the jigsaw mats in my garage, and these shoes work great for pivots. I'd say even better than my Disciplines when I first bought them. Line many Hi-tops, they provide that extra ankle support. Overall I am happy with these shoes, especially since I paid half price for them

Hey Red, I just recently bought a pair like the one in your link, although they from Bushido Martial Arts, and in the Hi-Top version. I lucked out one day looking through EBAY, and got them for half the cost of the low-top version

I been wearing martial arts shoes for sometime now, I don't mind being bare foot either .....However, if I'm working drills or self defense, then I do like wearing my shoes. If I'm practicing kata, then I rather be in bare feet that way I can "feel and grip" the floor properly

Looks like it is taught as part of the Bujinkin art of Ninjutsu. Do you have any of those schools nearby?

I bought a Shureido gi in a size 5, which is what i normally wear in most other brands, and it seemed quite large, although I have yet to do my wash and shrink on it, and even then I have no doubt that I will have to take it in to be altered properly

I have been in contact with Marcus regarding his line of uniforms. You are correct in that he responds quickly to emails and is helpful. I am meeting up with him in Las Vegas at the Ozawa Cup in April. That way I can personally see his uniforms and choose what's best for me
