As for Enviroman,I don't know if it's my only my Goju-Ryu dojo that does it,but they want kiais that make walls rumble.

He gave it to me to give to my mom so she could sign it being that I'm not 18 (untill Tuesday).When he did that i took a "peek" at the grading sheet and saw that I passed.

If I ever get a tattoo with letters, they are going to be in an alphabet I can understand,and languages I speak or understand.Sure I'll get goju ryu tattoo .but in theses letter not in japanese.

aikido a grappling art?

in karate we also learned a little thing or two on what to do if you are on the ground,which i think might help.Also I don't think the chances of me getting into street fight with a grappler will be too common.So I'm ok with what I learned -
thanks everybody,I passed.I know because I saw Senseis grading sheet.The only thing I wish I would of done was kiai louder on some things and hurried up with others.

I don't think tkd is useless either but as u said it's really lacking in some areas. As for the way the round kick was done,I really can't recall.Because Back then I was into cars ,and didn't get into martial arts untill my junior year of high school.But I would like to see a clip of the thai round kick to see the difference. -

those clips on ninjitsu.com were pretty cool,but I don't think all those acrobatics are really usefull in real life

good luck also,I wouldn't worry though.Your first belt tests are ment to be easier than the advanced ones.As a matter of fact I'm testing tommorow for my orange/8th kyu belt.

i am totally with Karate25 on this,maybe some body guard knows ninjutsu/budo taijutsu,but other than that I will say no

and one more thing when you visit a school,don't be afraid of asking questions,especially about their credentials and what organizations they are part of. when you see organization the are part of go on the net and see if they are actually registered.
