hapkido.. would you say it is "brutal"??
Goju_boi replied to Nick_sam's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
so in other words when Hapkido people spar,it's like watching a mixed martial arts match but with traditional martial arts? -

Good advice everybody, keep it coming if you have anymore comments or suggestions. As for stonecrushers comment,I think that this is the only SPM school in my city being that most chinese martial arts schools in my area are mostly Northern Shaolin, Wing Chun, or Tai Chi.There are more chinese styles but they are harder to find. Also I've heard that SPM shares some similarities with Tai Chi and Wing Chun, any comments on that? And one more thing what weapons does SPM teach for the most part? -
lol,was it light contact or full contact?

well if it was in self defense I don't see why all this action took place.

krav maga has everything you need for modern days (not saying wing chun doesn't,but it was developed to long for the founder to be here nowadays, which means ancient)

I don't know , I would think twice -
I think that it does haelp to lift and run,but the average joe can take someone out without doing either. I guess it really only matters for the pros that compete often.

well I don't know if this helps ,but were I go ,in the aikido class, judo gi's are worn.So the sensei gets his students bigger thatn normal because he says it will shrink as time passes when u wash it.
