well dean I'm having a hard time becoming "employed" because of my college schedule at Houston Community College, but I'm still hoping that there will be some place that will hire me ,except for wal-mart.I'm staying clear of applyinhg there. -
I know that martial arts weapons are illegal in australia, but I don't know about that country's rules.Anyways here in america I've noticed that every state has their set of laws, and some have the weirdest laws.

well I don't know, but at my dojo only the kids learn Taikyoku gedan, and I guess the instructor because he teaches it.

why would he get mad?tang soo do and tae kwon do are like cousins. -
white crane kung fu does use alot of finger tip strikes ,but it's hard to find.A lot of traditional arts use fingertip strikes. For example my style of karate uses a lot of finger tip strikes.Others are Taekwon do,wing chun,I think just about any karate style, tang soo do,I'm guessing Hapkido,I'm guessing kuk sool won,and many other traditional arts. The thing with finger tip strikes for me is that they hurt my hand unless I'm striking a soft target ,but you can train them to be strong enough to break wooden boards with if you know how.As for the poeple that can pull them off,all I can say is you better not mess with them because those strikes are targeted towards vital areas.

Goju_boi replied to haidongNC's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
well at the McDojo I used to go to,I never saw any instructors spar. Then at my new school I haven't my instructor spar either, but I guess he spars when he's learning on his own at another dojo. -
well I can do both, but the side split is harder for me.As for how long,I have no idea. One day while stretching I was thinking, can I do a split ?Then next thing I know I was like 4 inches of the floor.Since then I stretched a lot and achieved it.Also I have tjis great book called ultimate flexibility by san h. kim .

well yesterday we did this drill in which in a straight line we just charged at our opponent with any technique we wanted and they had to block and counter untill we ended on the other side of the dojo. Then it was their turn to attack us.I have no idea what kind of sparring this was,but it did give a great work out.

Martiol Arts outlawed in the US?
Goju_boi replied to mantis99's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
"if you fight one guy and you keep hitting him after he is disabled then the law will attack with the weapon biz" that's even if you have no prior training to begin with -
well yeah you have to lean forward to get the chest in it,if you don't it becomes an isolation exercise, and those aren't the best lifts you can do.As for you bench press comment, the amount of work your triceps does depends on how close you have your elbows to your sides.
-
oh ok,so martial arts helps take away that negative effect?

A good MA video game
Goju_boi replied to orion82698's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
well you don't have to do that because I already have it.Some time ago I bought K-1 World Grand Prix. This game is pretty much like what you are describing, but it's even better.Because it has real fighters and when you fight theres actual foot work and realistic moves. The best part is that it's not a button masher, you have to see what areas are open to strike and deliver a punch or kick to that area.I seriously recomend it for people that are into martial arts.At least rent it at the video store. You can find it cheap and even cheaper used at game stores. good luck -

well the story lines for action movies and especially martial arts movies don't have exactly the best story lines. -
