  1. i agree with u on most points made except for the holding stretches for 60 sec. According to the book I have written by Sang H. Kim , holding them for more than 15 sec. really doesn't help too much.
  2. yeah . bjj nowadays is mixed with the best aspects of all the popular grappling arts
  3. then that means that u have better dynamic flexibility then static.
  4. what about bagua or xing yi?
  5. I would love to see that dude spar, soundz interesting
  6. Also for all you traditional stylists, sitting in stradle/horse stance can give u more endurance and strenght in your legs.
  7. just like jackie chan. Anyways, I heard february for usa
  8. so why would these iron body people take it to achieve these "iron" like attributes?
  9. maybe tai chi chuan or aikido
  10. get stretching books written by reputable authors. I like the book I train with "ultimate flexibility" by sang h. kim
  11. plyometrics are great
  12. If u really want high kicks and more flexibiltiy u can always get books on the subject. I recomend "ultimate flexibility" by sang h. kim
  13. I'll say Kung-Fu styles like Norther Shaolin that incorporate a Sanshou/San da program. Also Judo or Aikido would be great
  14. just meet people on the net through sites like myspace
  15. My Sensei gave a little advice the other day that made me think. Someone had said that theres an upcoming seminar with ppl of various Okinawan styles soon. Afterwards my sensei said that it was a good experience to see it b/c u see the way other karate styles do things even though theyre from the same island. Also he said it's good to experience otheer styles besides karate, so u can see wut's out there and learn from it. I agree with him b/c of u limit yourself to just wut your style offers, it's like being that sheltered private school kid that doesn't know wut's out there in the real world. Just my two cents.
  16. sounds more like capoeira to me. I guess Kung-fu can be like this also depending on wut style u practice. B/c u can't say this about styles like Wing-chun or Hung-Gar. Maybe Wushu or Northern Shaolin.
  17. the only way I would use one , is if my dojo had one or if I knew somebody with one.
  18. I would have peace of mind, but it's my mom that doesn't take it seriously.
  19. yes, but it leaves u wanting more
  20. ohhhh, my bad
  21. well I haven't seen the doc b/c my mom doesn't think anything of it. Anyways , I stretched on Friday and stretched fine. the only thing though, is that in a lot of exercises for my right side wouldn't go all the way. I still feel a lil bit of pian, but way less than before.
