  1. You mean fighting black tigers ????? If so then I advice you to watch it World oyama karate's rules are pretty much the same as kyokushin rules as far as i know it
  2. By the way , is there any Aikido practitioner in UFC ?? I have never seen one of those guys competing in MMA b4
  3. So far so good , but remember , you will learn nothing if you don't take it to the limit from time to time .
  4. Mortal kombat series for ever, and I like tekken as well
  5. Yeah , but MT is a great art as well , it's the newest chapter in the thai martial arts book
  6. LOl.. you started it but you can noy control how it goes
  7. Welcome back , nice to meet you
  8. Welcome
  9. Excellent post Superfoot . Kyokushin has never advanced since the death of Sosai , maybe because of the splinters of the IKO , kyokushin is one of the greatest styles but I think it's held back by it's politics
  10. kyokushin is by all means a combative style
  11. Pople may have no time to think about what to do or the best technique to end a fight , or the consequences of using a weapon etc ...... they just act .
  12. It's not that easy to do so , lots of people loose their temper in a real confrontation
  13. People also die in point sparring matches , some shotokan practitioner told me that a guy from his school died in a match from a heart attack
  14. Lol .. That's a good feeling when you c your students advancing , right ?? I know because i was that happy when all of my kids whon first and second places @ the last tournament ... That was one of the best days in my life .
  15. I never had this problem , I never quit kyokushin ( and I will never do ) but when i started kickboxing , I haven't found any difficulty since moves and blocks are almost the same , but I always lost points for low kicking since it's not always allowed in kickboxing . Judo is a grappling art , so it was like starting from the beginning , the good point was that i already had endurance and stamina
  16. Kyokushin karate , nidan
  17. We do it once in a while , most of our kumite is free sparring
  18. Taekyon isn't the base of TKD (Karate is ) but it sure influenced the art , heck TKD was named after TAEkyon because they wanted the old name to survive
  19. Beeing a karateka , i'd perefer to train under a japanese instructor Seriously , i don't think it makes any difference , not all korean ( japanese , chinese) instructors are good , some of them are really crappy , and some are real good instructors , same goes to westerns , i'd train under the best instructor no matter where he comes from
  20. Thats not fair unless you are facing a much bigger and much more powerfull opponent , plus , street thugs are usually the persons who carry out weapons into a treet fight
  21. That's impossible to do , even if the train in the same style , the short guy would focus on close range techniques which suit him the most and vice versa Tall persons have the distance advantage , however , short persons usually guard better than taller guys
  22. When you combine power with your techniques , your techniques become slower , when you go slow , you get the technique smooth (etc ...... )
