  1. TKD is ok. It was a good addition to many other things that I had learned.
  2. Hmmn, so you saying that might as well be 11th, 12th, 13,....etc..? (Not speaking about Master Yuichi-OC)
  3. Erle Montaigue-so why should anyone who is skeptic about Chi, believe him?
  4. Hmmnn....actually the Asian arts had done this also....more so because they had to maintain "face".... IMHO, I had seen this a lot in the late 60's to late 70's, but with legal issues nowadays, I would think it would happen less.
  5. no rules would be "underground"..... BTW MenteReligieuse, where is the Gremelin?
  6. But were are not talking bout effectiveness rather than free sparring. As far as sparring mimicking cranes-no. To my knowledge, the methods in one particular system, have other names, per other descriptions, other than crane. Sparring was fundamentally a combination of those methods-not actually imitating the bird at ALL times.
  7. But- i believe instead of selling out for the the sake of financial gain/security, I have a min starting age of 7
  8. But-again, who wrote those books?
  9. Zen could be spoken of, but not understood by speaking.
  10. Well lets not stop there....how about a 11th, 12th, 13th-(oh no-skip 13), 14th, 15th......
  11. Which was to atach the question towards anyone else. BTW-I have no problem with anyone teaching for profit or the ranking system. It just that it gets abused and "overated"
  12. Nicely put miguksaram. It is sad, that no matter who or what, once something gets a bad image resulkting from someone, can effect others without the persistancy to overlook the one.
  13. No-the question wasnt "directed" to you Angela, it was thrown in the open "riding" your post.
  14. [quote name="miguksaram Yes' date=' the whole movement was actually started by Mr. Kim (I refuse to call him a GM because he bought his ranks) Hasn't anyone? Anyway, Kim had a great idea to make money. Does everyone? Import the teachers from Yongin college and open up schools across America called T-USA. He then got a lot of these naive kids out college and arranged green cards for them to teach TKD in America. Wow what an opprotunity. Especailly considering that TKD schools in Korea are a dime a dozen and yhou just graduated with a thousand people looking to do what you do. Spawn come to mind. So he brings these kids over and stock pile them into apartments and they now become indentured servants. Kim opens up tons of schools, rake in a nice sum of money and then WHAM!!! He declares bankruptcy and starts to close down the schools. Now these instructors are pretty much screwed. But weight...in steps in another Kim (not realated to the first) who buys the Sporex school and then cuts a deal with Ballys and the formation of TMA is born. They have a cookie cutter system and pretty much run you right through there. The teachers who were almost screwed out of a livelihood now have it back. I had nevered hear of this-any links?
  15. So why rank them Black Belt? Anyway, a 5 year old in the stove set a low should be a good warm up
  16. "Doing hand gestures while driving. People stare and think you are mentally ill"
  17. Hmmn, some schools think they do martial arts, when they teach dance and aerobics. Funny, how some martial art schools use playground toys and non-martial art drills?
