  1. Thanks man I've done all that and I been able to manipulate them pretty well. It's a short range weapon and deceptive. It's cool and I'm getting the hang of spinning it back. It's got pointy tips and I can sharpen the edges. I know for sure quick hands=quick ends to a confrontation with these.
  2. Mente, they are really cool. Pointy tips and I can sharpen the edges but will do that later once I get good. Very deceptive weapon.
  3. I loved that movie with the gun katas. Sounds cool.
  4. This school seems to be pretty huge. Many aspects are taught there from traditional to Xtreme.
  5. I finally got my pair and I can move them ok. Can someone help me with finding out how to train with them in terms of movements and such? Greatly appreciated...
  6. I finally got mine and I can do a few things but I'm looking for where to find out some training methods for these weapons. Anyone help?
  7. That was an awesome post. He knows his stuff. I would love to have a real certified Katana. Well I guess I should look for a real Samurai and train. If I get good enough he may pass along his sword to me.
  8. Ok, we all seen the movies and such. We look in the Century mags and other mags. But isn't having your sword made like a Samurai or a Hitori Hanzo sword off Kill Bill better than buying one from a magazine or a store? I want a sword that identifies me and that is one of a kind. But I don't know where to get this done. Anyone know?
  9. Yes, that is true. Though the Kobra Kai's looked like they did, they just picked it up better than sorry Ralph. He played a good part but his fighting was pathetic.
  10. Wow where did you find that? I seen guys in a couple downloads jump kick a basketball out of the wedge between the rim and the backboard. Haven't seen higher than that but getting 10' is possible. I think I can do it. Actually 12' is possibly especially if you have a trained Martial Artist who has a basketball player height. Ya know 6'6'' or taller jump kicking 12' shouldn't be uncommon. To see a little guy like me at 5'10'' is pretty cool flicking my foot up there. About the guy who talked about the ceiling tile in the dojo. Funny I did the same thing and thats when I figured I could go higher. Our ceiling is only like a little above 8' but I broke one of the things. I also figured out then I could do a jump kick break. Killed two birds with one stone doing that.
  11. Is there a site that has all kinds of tricks shown? Listed and described? Tutorials has some but not too many.
  12. I know someone on here trains in Chicago on weekends. I made this post to try and get in touch with him because I forgot his PM name. But anyone who does XMA respond please.
  13. It's a cool weapon man. I want to use it like any other weapon.
  14. Not sure really. It's a Wushu weapon, which I didn't know till I looked on where to purchase them. I think spinning them can be somewhat defensive among other things. I'm gonna learn to use them.
  15. Yes! Yes! That's it thanks man I'm getting those.
  16. I seen this weapon on the XMA special on Discovery channel but I cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone help.
  17. Matt Mullins that is I couldn't get that all in my title. I want to know how much it cost and if it's every weekend? I'm thinking of driving once a month up there to spend the weekend.
  18. I was wondering if he admited only using his left side.
  19. Wow 140! Theres nothing here in Indiana either but one man who does Angola. He's not into the other styles that are fast paced. I would love to learn from someone who does the Angola roots along with Regional and other styles.
  20. Yea I seen Cowboy Beebop, excellent fighting breaking down the moves in a cartoon. I got my first one today for a good price off Ebay. Crying Freeman vol.1, I'm wanting to get the next two. If anyone got some good ones they are willing to get rid of for a decent price let me know.
  21. Yes, and I can't wait for Tekken 5. MK deadly Alliance and the latest one Deception have been very authentic with moves. I love those games.
  22. Yes it's definatelty a MA. It's wonderful aspects are often shown. But if you get deep you'll find that it's a real tough MA. It has ground moves that can finish the job quick. The beauty is the MA, dance, Music, culture combined together to show the world.
