  4. just came back from training doing a little groung work and seemed to pull my thigh quite bad got ice on but its burning like hell fk must be getting old dont realise how it catches up

  8. thanks for all the comments can i now take this topic one stage further and ask you guys what you think of the importance of stances??? in general my opinion is they are very very important but the stances in the early days were virtually none existant (compared with today)why would this be ????????

  11. if there good enough there old enough lve known 10yr olds not have as much an attention span as a 6yr old as long as they enjoy it we cant expect too much
  12. i may be wrong but i think you refer to BJJ (Brazilian jujitsu) for the gracies and that is a style like wado -ryu and skotokan they are both karate just strings of the same art katate
  13. im fine on both hands being left handed you pick up right sided first then left side is easy

  15. thanx for the advise i' in no rush i feel it there is enough in my training to offer softer side........... but im open minded enough to take out the things that are relevant to me and my style of MA and leave behind for the time being the things i either dont understand or agree with

    for me they look simular in direction only what FUNAKOSHI(thank you for the name) is looking at is a totally diferent principle behind his version...... not knocking any of them but i think they differ greatly in practice

  18. i agree that its unimportant and imposible to police i just hope for MA in general the majority of schools have the same attitude as yourselves

    this kata is simular to wado seishan in name olny wado seishan is named after the stance seishan dachi where the hips are dropped and you should be or attemping to be rooted its a diffrent kata to wado entirly thanx for the link

  21. im luck when you attain shodan status you train for free before that 4 times per week training cost 15.00 GBP per week
  22. while sparring we look in the eyes when bowing generally we look down
  23. yes i agree i just wish all sensei's felt the same...... i think its a problem
