  4. Point fighting to me is almost like tag your it, light to medium contact, supposedly if you rock the head or draw the red stuff, that can be excessive force using UTK (United Tournament Karate) rules, real or street (bar, wedddings, etc.) fighting can be performed without any rules, judges or referees , well, that's just my view on the fist to cuffs... http://community.webshots.com/user/jakmak521 cheers.. 6. Yes Bananas are great, I eat a bowl of oatmeal with grape nuts as well for the protein I usually try and go to all the FAME, NASKA and BBB sanctioned events here in Florida as well as the Diamonds in Minnesota and the Battle of Atlanta, for me, I won't practice my kata or spar for one day before the event, it seems to reinforce my performance and let the techniques set in, kinda of like studying right before a test, for me it works out OK...keep it up and thanks for sharing KickChick _________________ http://community.webshots.com/user/jakmak521 [ This Message was edited by: jakmak52 on 2002-05-10 20:35 ]
  7. Yes siree bob, it's those angles they watch like a hawk, along with deepness of stance, your fore and back balances, tight folds, snap of the kicks and strikes, they also watch if you look in the direction of your next move to actually simulate an actual bunkai, those thumbs sticking out on the sudos thay look to see if your belt is tied right and equal lengths, ha, I cheat and have my tournament dobok starched just for the added POP, please forgive me _________________ http://community.webshots.com/user/jakmak521 Thank you.. 11. I was taught a form called Bat Sai (Breaking through the Fortress), I watched the Bassai Dai kata and it looked very similar to me, I believe it's originally a Shotokan Karate kata?? The two hardest katas for me to learn was Hwa-Rang and Kwang Gae.. _________________ http://community.webshots.com/user/jakmak521 [ This Message was edited by: jakmak52 on 2002-05-09 16:39 ]
  12. All of my instructors are younger than myself, they have been nothing but professional and patient with my progress and successes. I started training when I was 38, old dog, new tricks _________________ http://community.webshots.com/user/jakmak521 Age can be a state of mind? 14. Thanks Ramcalgary, for sharing your thoughts, I agree as well, it's those specific members of the "Taliban" and the "El Queda" network, with the misinterpretation of the "Koran", that threaten the national security of ALL countries, NOT the Arab, Iraq, Iranian, Muslim, etc. communities at large that encourage the introduction of Ms. Daisycutter...

I am very fortunate in this regards as having been raised in Chicago where I became gangwise street savvy and developed an instinct for distasteful situations , can I talk my way out of this, should I inflict extreme discomfort, incapacitate, or just terminate their lifeforce My FIRST resort is to defend myself, family, and friends..regardless of the consequences to my attackers...
