what type of poomse do you practice?
iamrushman replied to iamrushman's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
the type of poomse i study are the PALGWE and TAEGUEK type plus the black belt forms. my favorites are KEUMGANG and TAEBAEK. these black belt forms show the most power and finesse. KEUMGANG represents the diamond which is smooth and the strongest material on earth. TAEBAEK represents the mountain in korea which is tall and unmovable. i usually use KEUMGANG and TAEBAEK in tourniments and demonstrations. -
best wishes and good luck with the testing and the combat. i have been to your part of the world once, places called huddersfield/manchester/liverpool/london/and ipswich, england. believe in your technique and you always win _________________ rushman 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-06-05 20:51 ] [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-06-06 15:16 ]

Kung Fu styles..
iamrushman replied to jer's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
there are many styles of kung fu or otherwise known as gung fu as you already know that. but the master bruce lee started with wing chun. when water fills a glass it becomes the glass, when water fills a cup it becomes the cup, be like water my friends. (bruce lee) -
i agree with your definition and commend you in how you put it in words. i have seen demonstrations of ki power and they are very impressive. these masters of ki spend their whole life trying to master their ki energy. seems as though mastering ki energy can be a martial art in itself. but it is definitly part of the martial arts. _________________ rushman 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-06-05 17:26 ]

Thoughts on Mastery and Perfection
iamrushman replied to jdoub's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
hello jdaub; i truly understand the tea issue you submitted. the art of the tea preparation is very old in the japanese culture. they say the preparation is more important than the consuption. and that the preparation intensifies the consuption. therefore to prepare is to master. thank you for reminding us that the road of learning is to master to road. _________________ rushman 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-06-05 09:57 ] -
Tae Kwon-Do Ranks
iamrushman replied to NicciKickx_TKD's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
hello nicci; with all the different schools and styles of taekwondo this is a very good question. as you can see above i have included the belt system i am used to in my studies of taekwondo. -
hello; you can call me rushman. thank you for allowing me to become a member of this great martial arts forum....... to introduce myself, i would like to say i'm not very good a tooting my own horn. but to meet and understand others i believe that one must give up some of themselves so others will do the same in return. i was raised in HAWAII, so therefore i have basically a eastern outlook on life. i've studied many different martial arts for about twenty years. korean styles are my favorite. currently i hold a 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon certification in taekwondo and a hapkido 1st dan cert. i now reside in ft. lauderdale, FLORIDA. USA again thank you for allowing me to become a member of this fine forum for the martial arts. _________________ rushman 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-06-05 16:29 ]

Two Women Beat up some morons
iamrushman replied to Patrick's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
it's allways nice to read stories like that. but i most agree with the other members of this forum. combat should be save for as the last resort. because in the unpredictable situation only the unpredictable can happen. -
hello; with the many types of taekwondo poomses studied by the different organisations of taekwondo. i would like to know what types of poomses you teach or study at your school? also maybe you can include which ones are your personal favorites and which ones you use in tourniments and demonstrations? to persevere is to win _________________ rushman 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon florida [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-06-05 08:58 ]
