  1. yes, indeed. in addition to that, i dont like firearms... so i'd rather fight. a firearm situation is more likely to escalate in a life-death situation.
  2. glad to hear about u
  3. i agree with many of what u said, but i dont think it indicates that ur in a bad dojang, when u have to pay fees, a dobok and for belt tests. i'd rather call this ordinary. i depends on how much u pay and how much a get for ur money. an overpriced dobok, way too expensive belt tests and contracts, that can only be signed for a 1 to 3 period or something would indicate such "money mill" in my opinion. can be wrong though - maybe i didnt encounter too many different dojangs to judge.
  4. yeah, these suggestions are not bad
  5. what are Haidong Gumbo and Kyuk Too Ki??? never heard of'em... could u tell us about them please?
  6. i'd be lucky if my dojo would teach kendo. sounds cool to me!
  7. not to mention the style i am trying to find out about here but i think its too hard to find the one style i am looking for by giving such descriptions. maybe others suit me as well or even better than this one. we shall see.
  8. wise words @ ground i decided that, for the moment, i will go have a taste of TKD. i am interested in Ninjutsu and TSD as well, but i'm gonna go check them in case i am not comfortable with tkd for whatever reason.
  9. i thought wushu actually is the name for the somewhat origin of all chinese arts, and an ancient style as well?

  14. ur lucky to have such a school.
  15. thats what we do, since school sports aint too important here. good idea - but i dont. few people do. he is way too stubborn and fixed upon certain ideas. sometimes i think that he might even be too stupid, when it comes to arguments and stuff, but who cares? my martial arts instructors are much more important to me and i respect them, in very contrast to "him"...
  16. yeah kind of - "sports" is a subject in school; same as physical education in the US. he isnt the coach since we're no team, but i guess gym teacher is the right word. if anyone wonders: yes, he was actually meant to know much about sports.
  17. kinda impressive for a 21 old. aint u got anything else to do?
  18. its fun for them, too, i guess, because some do it over and over again
  19. i liked them very much
  20. Bernd "Adventure" Kroell You invented the word 'adventure' as you have traveled the globe seeking, action and romance. Finding both in abundance, there isn't a secret tomb or ancient secret that you haven't unlocked. Vital Gear Includes a map of exotic locals, trusted guide and reservations at the closest Four Seasons. any questions?
