  1. Hello, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say Happy Holidays and to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2005. Thank you for visiting KarateForums.com in 2004.
  2. I'll take whatever I get. My birthday just passed by and I could the least stuff I have ever gotten. I'm getting to be an old man. People stop sending stuff.
  3. Hello, MAWarehouse.com, the Official Shop of KarateForums.com, has launched! http://www.mawarehouse.com It is your source for MA books, equipment, protective gear, training tools, uniforms and videos! If you are ever looking to make an MA related purchase, please give it a look. Once our upcoming Product Reviews section has launched, it will be integrated with it. MAWarehouse.com and KarateForums.com are very much related and we look forward to doing fun things between the sites in the future (such as having a listing of products recommended by KarateForums.com users, potentially). There are some issues with the system that are beyond our control. Some you will find and some you won't. These drive me nuts as I am an attention to detail freak, but it was a "have a shop and deal with it" or "have no shop" kind of thing and I wanted to make this happen! Thank you for reading.
  4. I mean writing reviews as the section will need content. But, I appreciate your response. Will keep it in mind. Thanks.
  5. Just updated the guidelines a bit. Namely taking the minimum word count to 200 words as we want to allow for short product reviews and looooong product reviews, as long as they are complete. Something like Amazon with a bit better moderation and consistency, I hope. Be sure to read them before making a submission. Thanks again.
  6. Awesome! I guess we'll stick with it then. Thanks for responding and letting me know.
  7. I am considering whether or not this feature will actually be used... has anyone started working on any reviews? Thanks.
  8. You can find it at: http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=6381 Thanks.
  9. Hello, Thanks for the note, but publicly asking for sticky threads isn't the way to go, a private message is always best. In this case, I don't think it would serve much of a purpose. It is common sense to most people that there is no ultimate art, there is only the ultimate art for you and what you require. A sticky thread probably won't help them learn this. In the mean time, don't violate our User Guidelines when replying to people who haven't learned this yet, just try to help them see the light in a productive way. Afterall, this community is open to all. Thanks.
  10. Yes. That is the entire purpose. (Not just books though... also equipment, DVDs, VHS, uniforms and training gear!). Thanks.
  11. Moved. Be sure to PM me or a staff member in cases like this as current threads can be moved. We don't encourage cross posting, which is posting the same information in two or more forums. Thanks. Please continue...
  12. Hello, We will be launching a new site that will be the official shop of KarateForums.com. Much different from what we now call the "KarateForums.com Shop" this will be an actual site where product information from Amazon.com will be displayed, rather than just a link to Amazon.com. This new site will be heavily integrated with KarateForums.com and they will go together hand in hand. In recognition of this, we have decided to launch a section called KarateForums.com Product Reviews. This section will function much like the KarateForums.com Articles section does. You will be able to submit a review for publishing and we will (hopefully) publish it. Please note that the product that you are reviewing must be available at our new shop. So, how do you know if it will be available? Easy. For the time being, go to Amazon.com. If it is available there (in one of the Martial Arts categories), we will have it most likely. For more information, please read the Review Posting Guidelines thread at http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=116328 - we are hoping that we can get a few (or more) product reviews in the database so that we can begin publishing reviews when the site launches. So, if you want to write a product review, we'd love to see it! Thank you for reading.
  13. Hello, I have decided to combine this into one thread. While I don't think he needs to have all of the work done for him, leaving him out in the cold isn't right and doesn't fall within the principles of this community. I believe what we can do is to provide links to resources or pages that will help him to get the information he needs and answer the questions that he needs answered. One of the purposes of this community is to help people and this counts. If you don't want to provide a useful resource, don't respond. Unhelpful comments do nothing. Basically, he is working on a school project and is looking for the general principles and mentality of Ju-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Karate, TKD, Gung-Fu, San Shou and Tai-Chi. So, please post your resources to answer these questions or get this information, if you can. Thanks.
  14. By contributing to KarateForums.com in a kind and intelligent way.
