It's not that bad. Happens with all winners to some extent. Anyway, not neccessary. It is very easy to forget players, etc. Doesn't mean you aren't a Yankee fan. Especially when they are really, really nobodies. However, if I recall... I think Tony Fernandez played SS the year before Jeter (1995). We had some interesting guys in the infield before then... Spike Owen, Mike Gallego. Alvaro Espinoza (spelling his name wrong, I am sure) played for a while. There were other nobodies in there at all of the positions, for sure.
