On a lark I had considered putting money on Tkachuk to get the GWG in overtime... and I've NEVER bet money on a sports event before (not counting the office football pool and the like). Now I'm kinda wishing I had, getting 10:1 odds on that would've been pretty cool. In any case, all 4 teams remaining are REALLY good teams. These next 2 rounds are going to be definitely worth watching! Did you do it for game two?? idk if that is the proper emoji or not. -

Crazy 4 overtime game tonight as Florida beat Carolina in game one. -

Vegas and Seattle both one win away from advancing. We could see the two youngest franchises competing for a trip to the finals. Hard to imagine that Vegas got to the finals in their first year and Seattle could get there in only their second. -

I thought the Bruins were the clear favorite to win the cup but I was glad when they were out because now if Vegas makes the finals there is a better chance they get home ice. On the other side, Seattle and Florida are looking good enough to make the finals. Fun fact, the teams in all four major sports who set the record for most regular season wins in a single season in that sport, all failed to win the title. The 2007 New England Patriots, 2016 Golden State Warriors, 2001 Seattle Mariners, and now the 2023 Boston Bruins. -

I was hoping they would pull it off. -

Wild are eliminated in the first round again. I gave up during the second period of game six. It was clear how that was going to end. -
Thank you and well said.

Gretzky is, imo, the best ever, though some do argue for Gordie Howe. Sadly, Gretsky's goal record will likely be broken in the 24-25 season. I say sadly because Gretzky was the reason I became a hockey fan. Favorite player right now though is Morgan Barron. In a game last week, the dude took a skate to the face. Went into the locker room, needed 75 stitches, then returned to the game. I was at the game when it happened. Legendary toughness. -
I often attempt to adopt a Zen lifestyle but find myself unable to sustain it. Too easily I get anxious or angry and allow it to take over. "Letting go" isn't exactly my strong point.

I want more tats, but they're not cheap whatsoever. There is a ten-dollar tattoo shop in Vegas, but I probably would guess that is not where you want to go.

February 22 is coming up and it will be 2-22-22. It lands on a Tuesday. I am calling it tattoo Tuesday of 2-22. Great day to get a new tat if you're thinking about it. Edit: I just noticed this is my 22nd post. How fitting.

Very nice. Silver is to Kreese was Iago is to Othello. On another note, I think the writers loved Silver's character in KK3, as we got several references to him before he was in the series. So many people bash KK3 as being a terrible movie, and it is, (though at one time I liked it) but without it we don't have Silver. That alone makes the movie worth watching.

Season finale of Dexter New Blood is on Sunday. Possible Dexter finale. I hope the show comes back as I have loved this season.

I have no speech. -
No, not really. I guess I want to do a better job of appreciating what I have. I tend to focus on the negative but when I can get out of my head, I realize how blessed I am. Yes, I could end up with health problems some day or I could be dead tomorrow, but instead of thinking that way focus on what is happening now. I think one of the easiest ways to be happy is to be thankful for what you have and focus on that. One of the easiest ways to be unhappy is to focus on what you think you are lacking. Good luck Bob. I hope you beat your cancer and are able to get a lot of support along the way!

When do you know it is time to move on from training? When you can't physically do it anymore? When you don't have the time or money? When you have other things you want to focus on? When you just lose interest? How do you know it is time to walk away? Have any of you ever left training for a long time, say over a year, then came back and tried to get back into it?

If a style of training, such as Tai Chi, does no contact at all, or minimal contact (no hitting or grabbing) is it still martial arts? I took a semester of Tai Chi in college and was told it was MA but we never really did anything other than forms. If you are doing kickboxing combinations on the bag as a workout, but not actually sparring ever, is it still martial arts training or is it a workout? To be clear I don't mean if you are in a Karate class and do Kata as one part of the training, I mean if you never really get hit or knocked down in anyway.

Love the season and the show. Season 4 is full of twists and turns. Terry Silver is a great addition to this and I hope to see Mike Barnes eventually. I won't spoil anything or say how far I have gotten into it, other than we see Silver right away. I kind of wish these shows got posted once a week to drag it out a bit because I am going to watch all the episodes in two days then have to wait a year to see what happens next. If I don't watch it right away someone is sure to spoil it for me.

Episodes 5 and 6 were The story is heating up!

Outside of the people I train with I don't have any friends who currently practice. One who used to but stopped years ago. A few others who like watching UFC but have never trained. No immediate family has any training though some distant relatives took Karate as children.

I'm not gonna watch any of the previews because I like to go in fresh if I know I am watching the series. Super excited to see what they do with Silver and how Johnny and Daniel work together. Five years ago I never would have expected a show like this I am just so glad it was made and is so well done. December 31! Just two and a half more weeks!

I am enjoying it and loved the 4th episode which aired tonight. I think you will like it since you liked the original show. Part of the reason for this new season is to give viewers a better sense of satisfaction since so many people hated the ending.
