Two overtime games on Wednesday, Leafs over the Caps 4-3 and Wings over Pens 3-2 (do you ever wonder why the Wings are not in Buffalo? Don't you think the Sabers should be called the Buffalo Wings?) Other finals were Avs 4-2 over the LAK, Utah 4-1 over Carolina, and Golden Knights 3-2 over Ducks. -

Makes perfect sense and I am glad you can keep to your rules. Not always easy to do. Those are all good reasons. I've decided that any reason a person has not to drink is a good enough reason.

Dallas wins 7-1 of the Penguins in the blowout of the night on Monday. Other winners were the Flyers, Canadians, Flames, Avs, and Hurricanes. San Jose and Nashville both got standings point in their losses. -
Happy Veterans Day! Thanks for all you do!!

I've had a few moments when I was tempted but did not give in. I think those will always be there. I am going to have to be in full restraint on New Year's Eve as I will be in Texas for a party. I just have to remind myself to say no, because saying yes will lead to regret.

Only three games in the NHL on Sunday. Chicago beat Minnesota 2-1 in overtime, so the Wild get standings point on the road. Other games were Ducks 4-2 over Blue Jackets and Sharks 1-0 over Devils, both in regulation. -
What a comeback by the Lions on Sunday night!! They were down 23-7 and were clearly being outplayed with five interceptions by Goff, but a great 4th quarter with two long field goals that barley got in, and the Lions come all the way back to win in Houston, 26-23. Wow. They are now 8-1 and on a seven-game win streak. Kansans City wins again, now at 9-0. Another close win as they have had many this year but time and time again, they find a way to pull it out. The Chiefs have not lost a game since December 25. I don't watch the sports talk shows, but I imagine there is a lot of talk about a possible undefeated season for KC. A 17-0 season is unlikely, and I would think that KC is more focused on a third straight SB win than an undefeated season, I just don't see them going 17-0. Panthers beat the Giants and Jags lose to the Vikings, Jags might be officerly the worst team in the NFL, though they were completive against Minnesota. Long day for the Jets, another ugly loss, this time in Arizona. At 3-7 the Jets would probably have to run the table to get into the playoffs. They do have a bit of a favorable schedule, other than going to Buffalo. Other winners on Sunday were the Saints, Bills, Patriots, 49ers, Eagles, Steelers, and Chargers.

It's definitely good to be practical. I remember many years ago a story of a martial artist at outside a night club who got into a confrontation, he stepped back into a stance and yelled a loud kihap, but while he was holding his yell in an attempt to intimidate, someone from behind hit him in the back of the head knocking him out. Very bad situation.

Busy schedule tonight with 12 games. Washington was an 8-1 winner over St. Louis and Ovi had two goals, now 31 away from Gretzky. Ovi and the Capitals have started strong this year. Winnipeg continues to top the league, another win tonight, this against Dallas, and they are 14-1. Devils and Rangers were both winners, along with the Senators, Leafs, Preds, Sabers, Panthers, Avs, Kings, and Oilers. -

However they do it, I hope it is as good as Cobra Kai has been. The show has continued the legacy of the movies very well imo. -
Less than a week until this fight. Any final thoughts?

Never thought about this before but I understand it. I've trained in schools where we never do it, and schools where we always do it before and after class. I prefer to not do it as part of the training.

Wild get the W tonight against the Ducks, moving them up to 22 points in 14 games, a record of 10-2-2. Great start to the season. Still four points behind first place Winnipeg who is 13-1, 26 points, the top record in the league. Other scores from Friday were Leafs 3-1 over Red Wings, Penguins 4-2 over Capitals, and the Kraken win in overtime against the Golden Knights, 4-3. -

Lots of talk about the ending to Thursday night's game where the Ravens won 35-34. Lions play the Texans on Sunday Night Football, looking forward to that one.

I did not get a chance to watch any football today, but I did see the Lions won in Green Bay, putting them at 7-1. Vikings won and are 6-2. NFC North looking tough, three teams with at least six wins. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4pm eastern. Not sure what to expect but a good chance there will be some movement that day. There seems to be a lot of anxiety about Tuesday. I am not sure what else is happening on November 5, I am not aware of anything, so I think a lot of people are on edge about what could take place at the NFL trade deadline.

I would just say this....I think many students have days or weeks or longer where they are not feeling as motivated as they once were, but those also pass. We all have bad days, bad weeks. The true test of dedication is how hard will you work when you don't feel up for it? Anyone can put in the effort when they want to, when you don't want to is where your dedication will be tested. Edit: I also want to add something else. There are many times when I did not feel like training but did anyway. I can't think of once when I wished I had not gone. I learned though experience that even when I don't want to go, just go, because I will be glad I did. Some of the most fun I had in class was nights I did not want to attend. -
The NFL continues to be unpredictable. The NY Jets pulled out a Thursday night win against the Texans to end a five-game losing streak and improve to 3-6. Houston falls to 6-3.
