  3. Tell him to take the Muay Thai. To me it sounds like hes more interested in beating heads in then self defense / discipline. That's just what i got from it, and I mean no offense
  4. Well, I can't say I have proof that Stern is in shape, because I have only heard of him, never seen him since I am canadian. Brad Pitt is pretty ripped, so as a fighter, I could buy it. Last time I checked Mel Gibson was middle aged and out of shape
  5. Hmmm, You should condition yes, but dont overtrain it can cause Anxiety, Drausiness, Nausia and umm... some other bad stuff There's a moto of mine I'd like to share with you "The soreness after a hard workout, Is the Wussiness leaving your body" Basically, I'm not callign you a wuss I'm saying, you should be happy you're sore, its a sign you're doing something right! So go ahead.. condition!

  7. Personally i started in GoJu cause it was what was available. But now i love it because I enjoy my classes, i enjoy the low stances, the katas, the ideas, the encorperation of both the hard style, and the soft calm style that it brings to karate.... meh did that make sense?

  11. All I can say, is scientifically it DOES work. I read an whole article in a magazine about it... I could scan it if you'd like me too ?
  12. Supposidly doing it in the morning before you've eaten anything helps alot for burning fat etc. I don't know about muscles, and I couldn't tell you exactly why this is believed, maybe someone else can
  13. Mark me down for goju
  14. Hes been DJing since he graduated... maybe he started before he DJd
  15. Well, how come all of you jump to the conclusion that he DOESN'T have it? I mean just cause he's a celebrity he can't work hard for his belts etc?

  18. "A but yes, i know... STICKMAN kung fu"
  19. Wish my school offered japanese, I hear alot about japanese being offered in american schools, funny there isnt more in Canada, seeing as how there's more Japanese then there is Canadians.
  20. yikes, thats not good, that's kinda something I would dread about my school... almost like you're in university already
  21. At my dojo, they count in japanese when practicing kicking, punching etc. But never "daniel-san". Obviously, all the techniques have japanese names, and maybe this has some implication on it. I also know that, in some dojos(including mine) a yellow belt requirement is being able to count to ten in japanese, which I think is a good idea, to help keep the tradition a little ya know?
  22. Maybe you could talk to the teacher, some of my teachers didn't mind, also, you don't have a short break inbetween classes to maybe scarf something down real quick? I know it's tough to go to your locker, get the food out, proceed to scarf the food down, get your books, walk to the next class, and be there on time; but If any teachers give you grief, Id talk to them about how it's proven by most Dieticians, that it's healthier to be eating 5-6 small meals a day, then to have 3 big ones. Mainly because by the time a meal comes around, your body is already "starving" and your metabolism is beggining to slow down. I put starving in quotations cause this is not quite the case, but its in the early stages. The increase in carbs sends your insulin levels WAY out of whack, and you will see changes. I'd suggest going to http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbmainnut.htm and reading up, knowledge is power my friend
  23. When I was bodybuilding hardcore, Id bring many things to school that I could consume inbetween classes. Sandwhichs take a whole 1 minute to eat if you eat them on the go, I can't see why it isnt possible to eat them between classes. Carrots, Bars, Bananas, Juices. Really if you think about it, Eating your Breakfast at around maybe 6:45 - 7:30, then around 10:00 - 10:30, have a tuna sandwhich, or some carrots, or a carb bar or something. Then you eat your lunch at 12 or so, then you eat when you get home, then you have supper.
  24. I don't understand why all of a sudden your treating me like complete shit BK, in fact it's quite insulting, im trying to help you.
  25. Your abs heal faster then the rest of your body, therefor you arn't overtraining your abs, but if you ask me if your doing pushups everyday, your overtraining your chest, delts, tris, and many other body parts.
