I have been training in Muay Thai for a total of about 6 monthes (3 last year and 3 this year). But for about for the next four monthes I will have to be training on my own. I have a wavemaster(kicking bag) in my room. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to keep up? Will books or movies be of any help? Please post your advice! Thanks in advance.

Foot Ball and San Shou?

Well it all depends on what you like better, football or taekwondo. GO with the one you like better. I dont think the tackeling well help your MA but all the running well help get you into shape. Just wondering, when you train on your own do you train in taekwondo or Muay Thai. If you do train in Muay Thai what drills do you do? Because in a little while I will have to train on my own for around 4 monthes so any advice you can give we will be greatly appreciated. Thanks [ This Message was edited by: muaythaidm on 2001-09-01 22:57 ] -

I say kick to the legs roundhouse style, your opponent cant fight if they cant stand! My 2 cents. -

Need other quick indoor Metabolism wakeup techniques!
muaythaidm replied to Jack's topic in Health and Fitness
Try jumping rope for a few minutes, that will get your blood pumping. Being active always helps me to wake up. Just a thought -
Try getting a wheel. Doesnt need to be anything fancy just a wheel with handles that go though the center of the wheel. To use it you kneel on your knees, wheel out and back in. I have been using one for a while(like three weeks) and I made vast improvments in my ab region! They can be bought at stores like Wal-mart. Anyway for any ab workout always do it on an empty stomach. About your lower ab question try lying on you back. Put one hand on your stomach and the other under your head(leave your head on the floor so you dont stain your neck). Bend your legs so that your feet lay flat on the floor. Then raise your legs so your thighs are perpendicular(spelling?) to the floor, keeping the angle at your knees the same(slowly). Go back down and repeat. Do three sets of 15 with 15 sec. rest inbetween.
