try not only evasion, but evasion+uraken! You will se what I mean, try it on the bag at bramley, get somebody to push it towards you and then give it a go!

Have you thought about leading leg kicks? I have found that these are quite effective against your smaller opponent.Also they cannot react as quick as they can to a back leg kick.This is what makes the technique rather a favourite of mine.Hope this helps C Ya
Kumite, Bag Work, Pad Work, Unusual techniques, Long Combinations, Advanced Kata(karate), take downs, ground fighting, throws, Bunkai(application, and just plain old basics and kata. Pretty much everything!
I will be soon cross training with Wing Chun, I have been told not to because I willl find it training oin both an hard and soft style, I choos to take note but try it anyway, If needs be I will adjust, Worth a shot! I think that cross training is a relatively good thing, It can give you a bigger insight of what other styles and arts are all about.
