  10. The style is the starting point. The frame work to build your personal ability, firstly onto. Then out ward, finding and filling your personal gaps.

  12. I'm sure you can get plain tee-shirt type tops in modern breathable fabrics. Expensive, maybe by comparison, but a good alternative if available.
  13. So, Karate shortens life span. Better 70 active years than an extra 10 of infirmity and illness ! That if it is true, still not seen any of the research, the book isn't available here in GB.

  16. Sorry I'm a bit late to this one, so I might be repeating what others have said. But, at a simple level, is it the art that evolves or the martial artist ? I think the martial artist evolves as part of a natural process and thus the art evolves. This is not the same as a deliberately thought-out, I will do, this needs changing, that needs adding, process.
  17. Fumio Demura's Genbukai had been pioneers in this area. Hold and promoting this type of competition.
  18. I do too an extent. I travel over to Leeds (in GB) every month to study Matayoshi Kobudo. My sensei has given me a good grounding in the basics of Kobudo, but I decided I wanted to study a system.
