  1. Finally!!! I totally agree.. that is how it here. and how it should be. I dont think they should give kids dan grades.. one would be because it would be giving them a false sense of security.
  2. ..........The government wont even tell us why they raise gas prices, let alone let some guy tell everybody on an OPEN MARTIAL ARTS FORUM OF ALL PLACES about some "Secret style of self-defense" there is no more styles... a punch is a punch... no matter how you look at it.
  3. and I meant they were dropping out. sorry for the mis-communication.
  4. I am some what suprised by your knowlegde mr. logic. but facts speak for themselves. this has came more of a debate than anything. so how about giving us hard facts? as for the techniques. there is too many to remember?? i agree. but here is my question, why are you telling us this on a karate forum?? you may pm me if you'd like?
  5. read your quote. trust yourself on this one. its a mc dojo. leave so you wont waste your money.
  6. I started martial arts when I was 16 and I have stormed out of 6 schools before I found one that was good because they had 10 year o. the thing was it was in Japan. and I am not kidding. that is really what it took...
  7. I am sorry buddy, but you have already lost the fight. you already fear how "big, strong and fast" this "street fighter" is.
  8. mr. John logic. I learned Ninjutsu in Japan. Ninjutsu is a way of life. not just another style. if you truly know this secret art. then tell me about the 5 weaknesses all humans have? and tell me what this technique means, shiayetsu? your not going to find it on the internet, so dont go looking. if you go to japan and learn karate, Ninpo, whatever. they teach you EVERYTHING. and the fail rate to get a black belt in Ninjutsu in japan is around 60%.
  9. if your are talking about the attack itself then probably the sucker punch or the haymaker. always keep your distance. let them come to you. that puts them in your battlefield, not theirs.
  10. no had has said it so, your just going to have to fight. not spar. fight. nothing is better than real thing. and I am not saying to go out and pick a fight. its like driving, when you start driving, your nervous and you freeze when you do something wrong, but now, you can probably do it with your eyes closed. why? not by playing driving video games. but by driving a real car where anything thing can go wrong.
  11. sorry, you have better chances of actually going to japan to learn Ninjutsu. most schools in the USA are altered to the instructors "style".
  12. You are fighting on "their" battlefield. dont do it. figure out where they live, find them alone and now they are fighting on "your" battlefield which will bring fear in them. remember the 5 weaknesses- "flags" all humans will have. Fear, Lust, Anger, Greed, and Sympathy. F.L.A.G.S, we call them the 5 warning flags. to watch out for ourselves and our enemy.
  13. it means you are in control of all of your emotions. and can control them, that includes fear. nothing against karate or TKD but, a punch is a punch and a kick will always be a kick. I have seen many BB's freeze in a real fight. they are not a blackbelt, they just payed their monthly fee and got it.
  14. okay...... it is very much not fake. I do agree that Aikido is a very soft art and there is not strikes but, thats why its called Aikido in the first place.. it take years to make it effective, probable because you have to have like a 0.1300 reaction time to counter real punches in the street. but like karate, TKD and all the others, a punch is a punch and a kick is a kick. thats why it is easier to use in a fight.
  15. wow, umm, you have asked the number one most asked question to all martial arts. so far everybody has had good input, making a sparring match into a realistic situation. BUT, in class that person is going to get into a stance that you recognize. Also that person is going to throw the most straightest punch for you to counter. now i have the mind set that in a fight, it is a NEED to win not a desire to win. because everybody knows that in a real fight, that unexpected punch is going to seem impossible to counter. train your choice reaction time.. that may help?
