yingampyang replied to ShotokanKid's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Put it this way , if you show that you know some martial arts and knock down one or 2 of them then they will not push you around anymore. -
Making a few definitions...
yingampyang replied to Baji87's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Family: A style created by a specific family. Branch: A school that teaches a specific style. Style: A certain form of martial arts. Form: The moves and stance of that style. -
the only way to relax is to mediate , go ova the steps in your head , and see were you go wrong or were you need to relax. do this everyday for a week and you will see a huge difference in how you relax while doing a move.

The best thing to do is . if they challenge you to a fight , i say take it if you win congrats , if you dont then there is training for you and life experience to look back on. But you should always use the 3 rules of martial arts first.

I do Nin-jitsu and it has a death punch , which is very effective and has been proven to kill someone in one movement. -

yes i have done it for many years , it is a mixture of dance and martial arts so i guess some of it is for looks. but it can be very useful when confusing your opponent. -
my biggest... weakness ??!!
yingampyang replied to masterintraining's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
This topic shouldn't be here in my view. Im a master of the arts and the only way to get there is to have no weaknesses. Of course you will have some but dont dwell on them this will only bring you down. strengthen you body mind and spirit untill there are no weaknesses. -
The same thing applies when defending a younger sibling, yourself, or in this case your friend. The 3 rules of martial arts apply in every situation. Talk , Retreat , Fight.

Defending younger siblings
yingampyang replied to Dazed and Confused's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
In any situation that involves me defending my younger siblings i would of course. But the same 3 rules of martial arts apply. First i would talk it out then retreat my self and sibling , and if this carnt be done or first and second rule doesn't work then i would defend with force. -
That was a good article, full of usefull information. Very good keep it up.

If you were to put bruce lee into the ring back then before he died with his experience , i wouldn't put your money on him. But if he were alive today im sure he would of learnt every little part of ufc and MMA , and im sure then he would win.

What is your best break...
yingampyang replied to NewEnglands_KyoSa's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
i use 2.5 inch tile with 1 inch spacing , i can break 10 easily like that. also brick with no spacing i can break 8 normal house bricks. -
First of all you need someone to train with otherwise you wont get anywhere, i think that the stick or bo staft is a great way to start off with , then wen you become better you can upgrade to a more advanced weapon.

i think that you will never find a perfect style because perfect never happens. but to create a style that is close to perfect would be great. That it my goal in life to create a style so good that no other style has an advange against it. I have 16 styles under my belt and i am still learning and teaching to better myself. That would be created a way, which may take a life time, that is perfect for you, but will/may not be perfect for me Yes this is true , that is why i teach my students to have their own unique approach to the martial art , everyone is different.

A good martial artist is one who can use every part of his body. In this case foot or hand? it all depends on the situation.

Bounce Step?
yingampyang replied to Andrew_Patton's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
the bounce step is a great way to confuse your opponent , but is energy wasting , ive used it alot in JKD . It is useful at times but not something to relie on. -
