  1. Welcome...I hope you post offten...
  2. Welcome...I wish there was a MA club when I was in H.S.
  3. Welocome..I like to hear about your experiences training in Japan. What it's like and how you compare it to training in at home?
  4. Welcome sensei...don't feel so old yet I'm older then you.I'm 42yrs old
  5. Welcome..you must be very busy you study so many styles..
  6. I guess it depends on how you mix both styles and how you would apply them.WCK is mostly a striking art and Akido is mostly uses joint locks and throws so both could be used since both used different tactics to resolve agression.
  7. I noticed you study Chen style in NYC..Is your sifu Master Ren Guang Yi?
  8. No..I don't think what type of person you are will effect your chi.you can be good or bad person.your chi could either be weak or strong.
  9. WCK is hundreds of years old but its a living breathing art.It continues to evolve and change. Its not the same art as it was 100 yrs ago.In another 100 yrs it will be very different then it is now.If a fighting art is to stay relevent it must change.
  10. Welcome...what's your style?
  11. I don't agree..Not everything is physics..Chi is not Physics because Physics only works in a 3 dimentions..Chi is 4th dimenton.
  12. As far as Chi..Yes i can fel Chi flow when I do my qi gong or forms. That comes with time. When it comes you will know.
  13. I think spirtual potential and fighting abilities are two different things. You can be a good fighter and a bad person,or a good good person who can't fight.I think traditionaly Shaolin only accepted those who they thought had a high moral values so they could trust the new monk with their secrets. You don't want to train someone who you know will use what you taught them to go out and hurt other people.
  14. in your opinion what is the difference between the two systems?
  15. Too "modern" I have no idea by what he means..if WCK is practiced correctly by the principles it was founded on it should be very effective..
  16. kung fu is a long road of hard training and learning.Right now ,I would not be overly concerned of getting hit to much when you spar. You learn from your mistakes not by what you do right.Ask your sifu what your doing wrong and work on what you need to do to correct it.I dont think anyone here can give you a simple answer because you could be doing a thousand mistakes.Workon your basics and in time you'll do better.
  17. ki/chi is sort of like religion in that its a personal thing you decide to beilve in.Its hard to prove or disprove.I think chi is just boi electicial engery that we produce from the food we eat and the air be breath.thats all.
  18. what style do you practice.??? if we know what style you practice then maybe might be able to help you better.
  19. If your new to kung fu why are you sparring? your not ready for that.sparring will only develope bad habits at this stage.Develope some skills first then start to sparr.Training should be progessive not just jumping before your ready.
  20. hello Luke..live and train hard....
  21. Hi Vector...by the way what is Jukado? is it like Judo?
  22. I was not able to watch any of the videos..I look at the pics but that can't tell you much.
  23. I think it just power of subgustion.Just like the power these peachers have when they touch someone on the head in the name of Jessus lol!!!
  24. what are the bad principles of the system?
