SPM is very similar to WCK .BUt SPM uses a lot of ging where as wck uses softer ging .SPM uses the rib bone compression power WCK uses tendon and root power .

interesting I never heard of someone combining these two styles.Usually SPM is taught as a separate system.Do yo know if the mantis your study is Jok Lum?

Th eidea of intercepting an attack with an attack of your own is the same for WC JKD and other style but how each style goes about may be different which is why we have so many styles.

your right the chinese dont really use term master,althought I think some of them may use it now maybe to be more western perhaps.

I looked up the word master in my dictionary.The difinitions are very long here are a few. 1.a person with the ability or power to use control,or dispose of something.2. male head of the household.3.a male teacher,tutor or schoolmaster.a man eminently skilled in something,as an occupation,art,or science.being a master carrying on his trade independently,rather than a workman employed by another.

When I think of a master I think of someone who has dedicated at least 30yrs of his life training and teaching not so much how deadly he is or was.A master should be able to transmit the entire system to you and know it inside and out.

I think maybe why some people might think if your a christain you can' t do MA is most asian MA have a strong Buddhist influence on the MA and alot of the MA where practiced at one time in a Buddhist temples.
