when you are kicking make sure that the leg you are standing on is bent and that your heel turns 180 degrees and points at your target -
Fatal Moves/Techniques
Prodigy-Child replied to moobrack's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
some fatal techniques are chokes strikes to the vital points (which my not work all the time) neck breaks or striking upwards on the bridge of the nose -
hi ya in continuous semi contact you can get away with hitting really hard to the body. they let it slide when it comes to that. but with facial contact they are a little strict cuz they dont want guys getting their noses broken. the way i see it continuous is just a step up to full contact kickboxing.
-
hey pick up some continuous sparring experiance. that will get you really geared up towards the ring. some of the best full contact fighters in amateur and pro fought in continuous before full contact. if you wanna go straight into full though check out http://www.i-can.net and there is a sign up sheet for amateur kickboxing under the disney martial arts festival good luck

Maz is my Sensei's coach and overall the coach of the rest of the canadian kickboxing and continuous team. he is an excellent fighter i believe he is one of the best my sensei fought that day too his name is Nick Petroff and he won his fight which is great as for Kyle.........i heard from everyone else that fought that day that the judges did a horrible job judging and that the fight was stolen from him!
-
i wanna tell ya something man........i know those guys you are talking about from the rochester fights that guy you are talking about (naz) well his name is actually Muzammal Nawaz (MAZ for short) he had an unfortunant bout that day though but he is a great fighter and he is very tough...he never gives up. and if the fight wasnt stopped he woulda fought till the end! second Kyle Fergueson got totally Robbed! he shoulda won that fight and everyone said that! just thought id shed some light here!

if you are looking for a school why dont you just do some research yourself? look through your yellow pages get in y0ur car and head down to the central business district of your town or city. you are bound to find something there there have gotta be some martial arts schools advertising their dojos............the best way you are gonna find a school is if you go out yourself and find one

i heard somewhere that pressure points do not always work in a self defense situation. the article that i was reading said that when they are demonstrated, it is usually on willing and relaxed participants....but in a scuffle when the adrenaline is pumping it would be hard to hit the precise area and even if you do it might not work is this true at all?

Streetfighting?
Prodigy-Child replied to Sissy's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
a style or styles that encorperate good ground skills as well as stand up skills. i perfer to fight on my feet but if a person takes me to the ground im gonna slap on a nice choke or lock an make them squeal like a pig!!!!!! -
i personally believe that trevor "tnt" smandich is one of the best thai boxers out there. i was watching one of his fights on tsn. it was a whole canada against the world thing and he fought a dutch guy and the dutch guy's corner threw in the towel because smandich was just killing him. i personally think that the fighters outta calagary, canada are the best. there was a big fight card about 5 months ago between canada and the states and the canadians just cleaned them out. no offence to all you americans out there. alot of the calagary fighters have also cleaned out many thai's as well. mike miles has really shaped his fighters into the top contenders and for now they are untouchable!

i was going through scars.com. what a load of shit! my god they claim that their fighting system is 100% effective and superseads all other martial arts. they claim that they have trained the u.s. navy seals with scars and other special forces with it as well but alot of the unarmed tactics that police and military people use come from martial arts around the world scars is bullshit they claim that when you train with rules you fight with rules but that is dead wrong! i bet every martial artist on this board would fight dirty if they got in a crunch on the street there are no superior martial arts there are only superior martial artists like many have you said later

i think the ram muay should be done by each fighter before a fight because the fighters should pay respect to the thai gods (even if they are not thai anyway) and the sport of muay thai as well as their opponents. its like having to bow before a karate tournament or agreeing to the rules and touching gloves in a kickboxing or boxing bout its just respect undefined
