  1. well i just tested for my second bo form and naihanchi 1, next i believe its naihanchi 2 and anunku no sai
  2. Andy 4th kyu, Green 2 stripes Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu
  3. i was promoted to 4th kyu, and now i am the highest ranking student in our school
  4. today im testing for my 5th kyu posibly double testing for 4th, but probably not seeing as i havent learned the aiki-jitsu i need to have learned. Wish me the best of luck.
  5. its like Fusei Kise's first rank was a Yondan, and i dont think they went wrong there, its the student not the rank. if he shows the rank of Sandan than thats what he should be, however if he doesn't i dont really care i wouldnt train under him because of that
  6. i am in matsumura seito, and we learn most of those forms
  7. i think the hardest test i have a=had so far is my first test, since you dont know what to expect as a beginner
  8. i would have to say krav maga, if im not mistaken it was devoloped from guerilla war survival skills
  9. kung fu, ninjitsu is usaully taking someone from behind and killing them(at least by the traditional ways) kung fu was devoloped to provide a way to protect yourself
  10. i think you should find a striking system, since you have awide array of kicks from taekwondo and you have wrestling you should take a good solid striking art
  11. i believe mixing is the only way to go. sure you can get along way using one style, but by doing more than one you make your fighting more complete and well rounded
  12. i would use both. the judo to take them down and the bjj to finish it. but i think bjj is a more practcal art
  13. in my system we learn both, horizontal is used in the matsumura forms and vertical in the shorinji. and our basics are made up of both
  14. i would go with karate, for the self defense side of things. but kung fu has a great deal of self defense and is very pretty, and in my opinion taekwondo cannot be compared to the other two. its too flashy and too sport oriented
  15. i would say aikido, because theres no guarantee its going to the ground so i would eliminate both of the jujitsus, and the judo throws are based on the opponent wearing a gi, aikido using the circular motions and the attack momentum is very practical
  16. or if your in to weapons you could try the kali or even kendo or kubudo
  17. since i started karate, doing pushups the regular way just doesnt feel right, we also at the end of every class, do knuckle jumps as well
  18. everyone else that started before me. i realized they could hand my butt to me, so i started, and now thats all ill talk about most of the time
  19. id go with bo, then work up to nunckuku, then when youve got those kama
  20. most of the stuff with the sai is pretty straight forward, IMO. not saying it a basic weapon. its one of my favorites. but it isnt really all that hard to handle
  21. tournaments are the best bet to find alot of different styles in one place
  22. i would have to do the nastiest techniques i know hoping i didnt kill someone, it would be ashame to waste someone but in that situation what else is there to do
  23. i like to jump spin backkick, to reverse punch. it works reallty good in my school because im the only person that can do that kick, i fonud it works best when their either trying to kick me in the head or overcommiting an attack and they run into it. i also like ridgehand to the head, followed by a reverse punch to the body and a sweep to end and i like backfist to the head, follewed by a punch to the body and groin kick to finish
