  1. sounds like a hard situation. a babysitter maybe?
  2. The hwarangdo school sounds good. And if it's a hwarangdo school you know it can't be a mcdojo. (since they have that copyright thing)
  3. do your best. hope you have fun.
  4. jump rope watching TV.
  5. Do you get anything else other then a trophey if you win tournaments? Like money? In kung fu tourneys they don't use sashes or belts do they?
  6. I think he's really good. Without him martial arts wouldn't be as popular. He's probably better then most people will ever be, but I wouldn't say he is THE best. But still way above average. He also found out a lot of stuff, he deserves a lot of credit.
  7. Ki Aura and Healing. It was written by some guy that takes shotokan karate, but he doesn't really talk about it in the book, just a lot of useful ki stuff.
  8. heey goodluck!!! don't worry about it, tell us how it goes!
  9. I heard it's a very effective style. Mas Oyama was able to kill a bull with two strikes using kyokushin karate!! Some other stuff I read was that in kyokushin tournaments, you don't have weight divisions, you go full contact without many rules, and it's not point sparring. I guess it could almost be as hard as muay thai or something! I also heard enshin karate was similar to kyokushin(it was based off of it or somethin?)... But I haven't taken either of the two arts...
  10. hey peoples, i think ive asked this before a looooooonnngggg time ago but no one seemed to know. does anyone know a good art for learning weapons.. i mean lots of weapons, cool ones too...and not just weapons but also teaches empty hand fighting? well.. other then kendo, fencing, or those stick and knife fighting indonesian art things. I'm not too interested in kendo and fencing, and don't have any kali/eskirma/whatever available.
  11. there's probably really good chinese art guys(like the shoalin monks in china) but they can't leave china or they just aren't interested in tournaments. but it is mixed martial arts.... if you do a stand up art like karate or something well yeah you would lose, you don't have an idea what to do on the ground, unless your karate teaches groundfighting. even if it does it probably wouldn't be as good as BJJ or something. and most karate/kungfu/whatever ppl don't train as much as someone who's main goal is to win MMA tournaments. i dont think many go full contact either, and if they do they wear a lot of safety stuff.
  12. hey find a better place where it's a lot cheaper. or until you get more money you can just practice at home. the place i go to has really unreasonable price... get this.. it's only 3 times a week, 40 minutes each session, but 95 dollars. I'm trying to find a better art and a better place now..
  13. i can sit, lie down, and shake hands. but seriously i can't do any.
  14. hey it might be something you don't have to worry about at all, but tell your parents and go see a doct!!!!
  15. wing chun or ninjutsu. maybe muay thai...
  16. this is just my opinion. of course it's impossible to have a perfect man, but here goes!: the perfect guy is nice and gentle to his friends and family, but to his enemies, he doesn't back down too easily. The perfect guy is in somewhat good shape, healthy, and clean. He doesn't do any kind of drugs, and he cares about you and your family, and of course his own family. He listens to you, and knows when to be serious and when to be funny. He is optimistic about life, and always looks on the bright side, but he's not the kind of guy that's always smiling.. Those are annoying. And it's a plus if he looks good, has good style, and does some kind of physical activity!
  17. Hmm i always thought most of your punching power came from your lower body and not that much from your arms. im not sure though.
  18. I have a doggy.
  19. just as a reminder. strong arms are ok but technique is more important. thats why people like yip man who was so skinny could defeat people that were much bigger and more muscular then him. if you want good punches, practice technique first because that's more important imo, and strength second.
  20. if you take just one, i would recommend kickboxing. but since u seem to be looking for self defense i would defintely recommend both, but maybe not at the same time. start one and once you like it start the other i guess.
  21. yes muscle can add a lot of power to your strikes, but there's also other factors like speed and technique which i think can be more important.
  22. https://www.tekzoned.com This is such a cool site!! check it out!!
  23. I was insane the first 4 times i took it.
  24. i'm guessing you made those techniques up and it's not really from any specefic style?
