  1. Non profit is many times a misleading term. In general, it means that you spend whatever money comes in and the money is often spent as salary for individuals or in other words, the company as a whole does not have a goal of seeking profit, however individuals within the company can. In this state, it requires an emormous amount of paperwork to qualify as non profit and requires that you form a corporation. Hiring a CPA to keep track of your paperwork and possibly a business attorney to set up would be a good idea.

  14. LOTS! Remember that Hawaii is a place of many different races including many Chinese, Japanese, Korean and now many Brazilians are making Hawaii their home. There are also polynesian martial arts here and Filipino stick fighting. Many schools on the mainland can trace their roots back to people who came from Hawaii including Ed Parker. Of course all Kajukenbo schools and Hawaiian Kempo came from here. Offered in Hawaii are many styles of karate, different styles of kung fu, tae kwon do, judo, aikido, jujitsu including the Gracie academy, muay thai, and there are several boxing gyms here.

  22. I saw Dillman and his student knocking down people "using chi" without touching them on t.v. After the demo a skeptic contacted them and asked to demonstrate on him. One of Dillman's top students tried his chi on the skeptic and was unable to move him at all. Dillman commented later that the skeptic knew how to neutralize the chi.
