  1. the notorious australian gang...has a nice ring to it... What makes you a gang? do you fight for territory? do you hold weapons? etc. is it becuz these guys have found you out? hahahahaha
  2. wasnt there alreadie a topic like this? Anywhos..yeah i was a street fight addict for a bit, just to see if i got the 'skillz'.Got into those..''meet me over there afterskool and well fight'' kind of things..never got in a situation with a druggy or nuttin. The only weapons they attacked me with was probably a stick they found when they were on the ground or a rock. Kicking can be very useful..but kicking high is a no no...you only kick the face when they are on the ground or on their knee's or whatnot.I usually dun kick above the chest..and always go for the legs. Best street fight ive been in? probably a 2on1..its funny how i kept switchin back n forth on the guys. They wernt much of fighters but...it was good experience for anymore handicap fights xP
  3. i agree 100%!!! doing the double roundhouse kick got the wind knocked out of me.I got back kicked since my friend knew what it was...and damn that * hurt. Those are one the kicks to show off to audiences.
  4. just remember...bigger you lift, bigger you get.So dun lift to your limits...unless you wanna look like Bolo Yeung(return of the dragon, double impact, blood sport, etc.)
  5. Bigger they are..harder they fall and harder it is to get up if he really is that big. I would say go for the throat..but you might get to into it and actually do sum permenate damage..go for the back of his knee's.
  6. i always resort the wrong way when sumone grabs my shirt.. I jump and kick him with both my legs..doing so ripping my shirt(s) lol...half naked in a public fight eek!
  7. look around the local martial art dojo's..pick the one which intrests you the most
  8. the movie was alright...i got real sick of the whole..tippy toeing on water...and spinning in the air for like 2 minutes. To much strings..ugh..action movies these days...
  9. Its not because they bought their way to a black belt, its becuz they were to lazy to try from the start.Ive seen many lazy black belts who would stop doin even the warm ups when the master wasnt lookin.
  10. wait whut MA u take? usually around BB,you learn how to disarm people with guns or knives...but i dun think they teach u how to take it-then stab/shoot them with it...
  11. thats just soreness..it'll go away in a day or two..just letting your muscles heal from work out
  12. If its a sprain-Get solon pas, those patches where when u put it on you feel it burn/cool up a lil,or those icey cool rubs. Other than that its probably soreness.
  13. how long has it been around? it could just be a possible strain on a muscle, but it could also be a serious problem and you may have injured something.
  14. your lucky. Most tkd dojo's these days concitrate on tournements rather than real fights...tkd is to much of a sport-.- Me and my friend do full contact sparring to bring up our experience for real situations on our own time.
  15. so basically your saying tkd is one of the ''many'' rules style? i take tkd but i agree with you 100%. After i got to green belt i started to think more about real situation fights rather than tournements.Since punching the face or even the stomach in a tournement wouldnt count as a point many tkd users completly forget to punch.Soon as me and my friend got into full contact sparring in our own time,it took us atleast a couple days to start punchin since we forget the use of our fists. I also relized punches have a big effect in sparring...like those moments where u n a opponent hit shins together..both cannot kick the other so thats when u uses fists to back them off and strike as soon as they move back. The only reason tkd people have the left n right sides are since in tournements you cant kick the back since its unprotected and doesnt count as a point if hit.
  16. Linda Lee Cadwell mentions it in Bruce Lee:Warrior's Journey.
  17. it usually shows on AMC from time to time.
  18. Elbows are very sharp when hit directly on the tip of it.It is also a very strong bone which most likely wont break when attacking with it.
  19. self defenses 1-15? isnt that a little to much at your level? All Tkd dojo's are different. For me,i had to do my forms,do self defense 1-4,one step sparring 1-4,and break a board with a knife chop.
  20. haha, your right..i doubt kids around the age of 10 and younger wouldnt really be able to handle themselves. They are still young, its not like they will use a grapple in a fight. Most kids around that age do martial arts mainly because it looks cool or they fight like ninja turtles.Theres this 9 year old BB in my class i usualyl see.He is still very undisciplined and always says to the master ''but it looks so cool!'' The day i see a 10 year old kid take down a grown 30 year old man is the day i would be dipped in * and rolled in bread crumbs.
  21. get into fights to see how well i could fight Back to topic. Yes..Shorinryu is correct..you keep changing and changing what you talk about and his calculations( ) are correct. He's sensing something very fishy around here
  22. I think if bruce had finished game of death,it would have been as great as enter the dragon. Its great that he filmed the fight scenes first, but in the game of death(when they completed it),they cut out a lot of scenes from when they showed the full fight scenes on bruce lee:warriors journey.
  23. A few weeks ago i borrowed bruce lee's book tao of jeet kun do from my local library just to understand more about his creation.Looking at the book,to me it seemed like the style was to help you in real fighting situations. Is it just me? or is it really? JeetKuneDo would be helpful with this haha
  24. goin mary poppins on us..thtas bad *
