  2. There is nothing "wrong" with it. In some cases, something is better than nothing.
  3. Ok, I have always though it had some type of benefits. I just wanted to see others that maybe I had not thought of.
  4. But a higher rank, demonstrates higher knowledge. Shouldt knowledge be passed. For if someone got you there had taken the same outloook, one will not have learned. In other words, someone's has to teach. Perhaps those that do not like, are actually "stage-frighten". Or lack communication skills on front of a audience? There can be many reasons why one doesnt want to teach.
  5. Right attitude.......individual training is ok, but other than ranking, to have someone else there has many other benefits.
  6. I don't think anyone should "keep quiet". Perhaps more "tactful" when voicing opinions. I mean, I dont believe anyone has intentional bashing or insults.

  9. Choi didnt create Tang So Do. He had conflicts with them. And yes, reportedly, General Choi Hung Hei trained in shotokan under Funakoshi. And it sort of solidifies my previous statement: The result, TKD Katas emulate Japanese (Shotokan) with the addition of some high kicks

  12. Yeah, and no. Black belt in a couple of systems. No such rank in another couple. White belt, whgich is a high (somewhat like a black belt) in another. The later, a Yellow being the highest per Chinese decor. The white symbolized much knowledge atauned. Somewhat like emerging from dark (the black was beginer/no seeing) to light (white-all seeing).
