  1. Hi and wellcome to the forums. Have fun.
  2. I have been in Street fights before i started in the MA. Im a kinda short guy so l had to deal with Bullies all that time and naturally i needed to defend myself somehow. I kicked butt and got my butt kicked too. Is something you shouldn't be pround of doing.
  3. Do your Best, Focus, Keep your mind there, eat well before, Relax, make sure to make a quick review of your techniques at home, you'll do it just fine.
  4. The Late Okinawan Karate master Choki Motubo who was a great Karate fighter who always proved his skills in Real Fights said that the only Kata you ever need to be a good Fighter is Naihanchi.
  5. I'm Agree that maybe its better if you start as a white belt. Then after you catch up, you can wear again your Blue Belt. BUT, if your Instructor says NO problem you wear you Blue Belt while you catch up. Then there's No problem. He's the Instructor and if he feels there's no problem you wear you Blue Belt, then maybe is because he trust you'll learn all you need to learn soon. Maybe you'll spend a little more time as a Blue Belt before moving to the next rank. That's all.
  6. I have Lower Back pain... Never thought in quitting but i've wonder about moving towards other Art if the pain continues. Maybe i should start taking Internal Arts instead. Im a darn Old man. lol

  8. I don't understand... Just because a minority of people come and talk things you aren't agree with, you leave all together.. If you don't like it, don't read it. The Comparative Forums could be very informative if its used right. we still need to work on people's attitude. But as It was said before.. How can you make a diference if you aren't here. Anyway, good Luck and Doors Will be open for you anytime you want to return. See you!
  9. I'll Never understand the people who won't tap in a training. It's a spar on the School not a "live or die" kind of match.
  10. wellcome to the Forums!

She also said that there are some groups who know how to teach it as a combat method but those are few compared to the one's who teach it as a Dance.
  12. I don't know... maybe they are unconfortable to wear. But, I better feel unconfortable than having cauliflower ears anyday.
