Filming matrix-like action movie
Karateka_latino replied to aznkarateboi's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Watch the Jackie Chan documentary " MY STUNTS" he explain all about stunts, acrobatics, wire works and fighting for film. Actually he says that you shouldn't do it without the supervision of an expert. Even with the fact those are trained people, they still get hurt, so be carefull man. -

I have the magazines Right Here where Rorion Ads his style is effective no matter your shape, size, skill, etc, etc... I'm not making out things. Just look any "Inside Kung Fu" magazines from the Mid-90's in which Rorion used to Wrote "Grappling with Reality" every month. He even had those two full pages advertising his over-priced videos. " Do you want the power to EASILY defeat ANY human aggressor-under Any circumstances?"...

Hapkido Throws
Karateka_latino replied to chi_town_guy's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
OH NO!!!! maybe it won't hurt Now, but it surely mess you up in a long-term.. I suggest you to get mats.. Specially while you learn.. And yes, to learn how to throw, you need to actually ThROW the person. You need your technique to flow and it won't if you stop in the middle. Is a techniques that isn't been developed as it fullest. Pretending your are throwing is not the same as Throwing. -

Boxing fusion
Karateka_latino replied to GojuMaster's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Any kind of Kickboxing will blend great with your Boxing background. But, i lean towards Muay Thai since you'll not only learn how to kick, but you'll also learn how to use your elbows, knees, clinch, etc... Also, some grappling wouldn't hurt.
