  1. what the.. were on to page three and no one has yet said having sex with beautiful women? what gives?
  2. black belts, and all their limbs, are not legally considered lethal weapons. if your teacher told you that youre in a mcdojo.
  3. christians should convert to atheism.
  4. in the situation described, youd be better off not saying bring it on tough guy. especially if no one else is around. just go to work on the guy, and make damn sure he cant fight back when youre done. broken jaw, arm, sure, whatever. ill tell you this much, if so much as one punch is thrown at me ill leave the guy in need of medical care, because like thuggish said, that is the only sure way of making yourself safe. if some * is coming at you, how else can you defend yourself? what is this * about 'using just enough force as is necessary'? breaking an arm or somethign is quite often just enough to be necessary.
  5. hmmm. dont kick anyone with it until its better.
  6. stupid. no reason.
  7. ill say one thing thats for sure: dumbells are a lot better for your shoulder (and probably chest) than straight bar. id switch immediately to those. also, when benching with either, do not do not do not bring your arms down all the way. this meanst that at the weights lowest point, your elbows (to your shoulders) will be parallel with the ground. does that make sense?
  8. not entirely sure i understand the question... but i life two to three times a week if thats what you mean. (i wanna get bigger!!!)
  9. grappling is fighting... and you can count on needing to know it sooner or later.
  10. considerint the fact that its just aikido, seems a bit steep to me.
  11. ive done muay thai, yes. these days i dont do it as much, but im probably going to change that in a week or two.
  12. well if you punch an elbow or something with gloves on, that can happen. i havent sparred much lately with striking... but sometimes a tiny friend and i will just use bag gloves- we pull our punches though.
  13. muay thai and/or brazilian jiujitsu! proven effectiveness. if youre not a big guy, get on some steroids or something too. (not really, dont everyon yell at me.)
  14. for psi you need the same as in si units. how can you just do it in numbers? how will you know what hte numbers are?
  15. bjj is brazilian jiujitsu mt is muay thai tjj is traditional jujitsu tkd is that crappy style no one likes (whoa! time to get yelled at...)
  16. wow, just what i was gonna say. you want hardcore (striking) go muay thai.
  17. all you can do is absorb it in the arm like you would a hook. make sure its tight or youll end up punching yourself, so to speak. still though, try not to take one at all... kick em in the leg if they do it, hehehe.
  18. there are a lot of threads on this so ill be brief. muay thai is the most hardcore, best (yea, i said it, best) striking art in the world. and just for the record, taking up a MA just to be good at fightingon the street doesnt make you a bad person. lost of people do it. its okay. really.
  19. depends on the school... most gracie academy places are taught by guys who know wrestling and all that... so youre sure to learn them, id think.
  20. thing is, without good historical records well never know exactly what happened.
  21. my biggest fear is that what i want to happen to my opponent actually happens to me (serious injury). i dont really feel a lot of fear in situations though, just that adrenaline anxiety thing that i keep under control. its all about the before though, once it happens im fighting and not thinking about anything enough to be emotional.
  22. you know, ill toss my 2 cents in and say this- styles dont define the fighter, but they are very different. few people outside of thai boxing (and i guess kyuoshkin karate whatever that was) kick like thai boxers do. kung fu masters dont really do that. what style you learn does matter. and, by the way, chuck norris is no actor, but he could kick all our *.
  23. bruce lee said it himself- boxing is one of the best arts to get into if you want to learn to fight on the street (not an exact quote, but the message was the same.)
  24. i can tell you that personally, im not proud to get into a fight (unless it was actually a noble cause)... im just proud that i won the fight.
  25. let me first salute you sir, in your service. * what anyone says, i honor you more than nearly anyone. i wish the best to you and sincerely hope that you and all your comrads come out okay, and kill the * terrorrist bastards ignorant enough to fight you. with that said, man, pack heat. i can honestly say that a martial art will not save you in such situations as being surrounded by arabs with machien guns. i pray to all gods i dont beleive in that it doesnt happen, but from bjj and mt to those * martial arts... nothing can save you from that. bjj ant mt im my opinion are the best hand to hand martial arts, but in war time situations... its not all about that. hope im not bringing you down, im just saying as it seems to me. anyway, best of luck to you, i hope you do well.
