lol - that's ok Submission Fighter, that's one of the reasons the Gracies are so popular - they're small, but can beat the crap outta the big guys!! I'm sure you can take care of yourself just fine... Thanks for the congrats - I just LOVE my new blue belt!! [ This Message was edited by: Kickbutt on 2001-11-06 12:28 ] -
Hey everyone - I forgot to mention to you all last week to go check out the interview on Radio Martial Arts - it's regarding an old debate we had going regarding armed pilots...very interesting views from a pilot who believes that they should all be armed - I especially liked Mike Bremner's comments (he's hilarious, he trains at Champions too) because, as I'm sure you know - I agree with Mike's view. Check it out soon, cause I think they're gonna change it soon! Also, if you're interested, check out the tips on kickboxing.com, by my dojo's Master/Owner - Farid Dordar - that's my school you see in the videos!! I'm so proud...oh yeah - one more thing - you have to check out Blake "The Blade" Lirette - he's my blue belt Sensei/Instructor and he's pretty awesome to see in action - doing really well so far in his pro career - no losses yet! OK, I'm done gushing now - see ya'll later. Lori [ This Message was edited by: Kickbutt on 2001-11-06 12:20 ]

I see that Tommy is on now, so will bring this to the forefront in the hopes that he'll see it and post. Hey Tommy!! Lori
-
I'm bringing this back to the forefront again because I was curious as to everyone's thoughts regarding smoking in the military...everyone of course has the right to do what they want with their own body, but I can't help but wonder how they can get through half of their training? The Canadian Armed Forces recruitment center is in our building and alot of the recruits are often hanging around - mostly out back smoking their faces off!! Hey, no judgement here cause I used to smoke myself, but how the hell can they protect our country, or even themselves for that matter, if they can't sprint to the end of the block? Your comments please... Lori

I agree Karateka - Sai, you are to be commended! Martial Arts is quite challenging to learn as it is and here you are with MS going for it!!! You rock!! One of my best girlfriend has MS - she's had it for a couple of years now and sometimes has a hard time getting out of bed. Anyways, nice to meet you and good show! Lori -
Gee...I had no idea...
-
NO! You won't be able to do much of anything in class if you aren't there due to a pulled muscle...I arrive for class about 15 mins. prior to class start just so I can do some additional stretching - which I'm gonna go do now...

Thanks kicker...I will be competing in a Feb. tourny...as far as this one, I was testing only a few days after, so didn't want to jeopardize it by competing and making myself even more sick - been waiting for that belt for awhile!! -
I really don't have any preference - I like to use both, but I am especially fond of my roundhouse kick, if you MUST have an answer . Lori :pony:

Sounds like it could be interesting...I'm not a Survivor fan myself, but let's see how this works out! As long as it's not too time consuming, as Deby says, then I think it would be alot of fun! Lori -
I second that KickChick! In the paper today, there's a picture of Jeeter in the dugout all by his lonesome looking so sad, while the Arizona fans are cheering right above him. Poor Jeeter...

Well, my Dad's happy,

Iron, you need to live here in Vancouver if you want to have a better chance...alot of the people in my dojo have gotten alot of work, as well as alot of other people I know. Good to see you're back - you were missed!! How's the training going? Lori
-
Oh no!!! I love animals and it breaks my heart to hear about your cat, Jack . I know how easy it is to become attached to animals! I'm so sorry to hear that. Lori
