  4. On Friday 16th my club will have a point sparring competition. Grapplng techniques are allowed but no punche's to head as well as no contact. So anyone got any good combinations or any general help. Once I found out what I get the results I will post it here and you can all be proud you helped me
  5. Mines is so quiet and moany (Kiaaa). No one does it really in my dojo so I feel stupid. Only the younger years do it. I think it's because my voice is broken that i feel stupid doing it.
  6. Wow you must be really good is another Sensei asked you to join a tournament.
  7. Hard training is always better. However my club as well as others are probably to scared to do stuff like that, because of younger members as well as insurance reasons. BTW Fish which Wado Ryu class do you go to.
  8. Martial Arts has definetly improved my confidence. I used take crap from so many people (Even the weak ones.) But now I don't.
  9. Are Nuchukas legal to carry for self defence in the UK. I know in some states it's allowed.
  10. Anyone know a website with the Okinawan Kobodo katas. I only know the first Nunchuka Kata so thats my favourite
  11. 2nd Place WOW! Congratulations mate that quite an acheivment
  12. Do Wado Ryu. Then you get to learn a mix of Ju-Jitsu and Shotokan at the same time
  13. My friend who I sparred with is fat and also took Karate to lose weight. However after every single lesson he orders 4 Hot Wings, a portion of chips and a pepsi. I tell him that the work we do has just been a waste of time if he's gonna eat all that fat. But he just says "Im Hungry". So if you want a tip mate. Don't get into the pattern of having a oily takeaway after lessons
  14. For the first time ever I bought a pair of Nunchuks. I saved up all my money and had to wait a week to get it. When it arrived I was so happy. And could imagine practising it at home. I then put it where everyone puts their stuff (I was in the Dojo). And ran back to the main area to carry on with my lesson. Having only held it for 20 seconds I was shocked to find that someone had taken my nuchuks after returning back from the end of the lesson. I spent an hour afterwards looking for it with no avail . I had spent 10 friggin pounds (Not much I know. But I still am only 14) on touching a pair of nunchuks for 20 seconds. Anyone ever had their weapon stolen? Post the story.
