i am familiar with KSW but wondered if the schools have increased over the last few years or if i just haven't live in an area that has them? i have been to texas and arizona in the last couple of years and haven't seen any. something that i do when i live in a city is to familiarize myself with most of the korean styles available in the area .............. -

some of the kook sool won doboks i have seen were black with gold fringes....have you seen those?........ -
i only mention injuries due to the fact that i would hate to kick a mask like the one's used by baseball catchers or have some one block my kick with an iron forearm brace on........or is that why you want it?(lol)......... oh and congrat on that shiny new green belt, lovely. _________________ rushman (karate forums sensei) 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon "saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-11-10 15:48 ]

it's wonderful to have KOOK SOOL WON represented here....always loved the very fancy uniforms you have.........welcome and stick around awhile........... -
however; all jumping kicks can be performed without jumping, so i have to say yes........ ....even though jumping kicks are much more aggressive in nature, one does not have to do them to practice TKD...i have seen some students without jumping capabilities adjust thier styles. just rushman's humble opinion! _________________ rushman (karate forums sensei) 3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon "saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson [ This Message was edited by: iamrushman on 2001-11-10 09:31 ]

look out when striking someone in the teeth...i have had teeth imbedded in my knuckles before and it was a lesson learned.........i prefer the chin or nose to prevent injury to myself......... just rushman's humble opinion.
-
yes; metalic sparring equipment sounds like an increase in injuries....i have to agree with SAI, perhaps it's the colors you want....... (nice to see you back DREAMER)......
