  1. In boxing? Yes. But an actual fight? Are you sure? Did they just never land their hits or what? Because you can only take so many hits. Also, I think cardiovascular is more revevant to exhaustion in a fight than muscle endurance. Well, I guess the heart is a muscle as well, but you know what I mean.
  2. ?!?!???!
  3. Hey! I was born in Switzerland :/
  4. I hate to brag (not really) but... on Mondays and Fridays I go rock climbing (indoors, boldering) for 5 hours, and afterwards I hit the weights. I deserved my gatorade!
  5. Ever seen a baseball pitcher flex his arm? ...Yeap, they can throw those balls at 90mph though.
  6. Yeah, I train for both as well. I'd say power is more important, because, well, you don't really need endurance. What do you need endurance for in a fight? I've never witnessed a fight that takes longer than 1 minute. It doesn't really matter, unless you're high school wrestling or something. But in an actual fight, you probably won't notice yourself getting tired anyway. Also, yes, to a certain degree technique can compensate for power, but if it's your first violent confrontation, you're probably going to completely forget "technique" and be glad you still have power. Power it is.
  7. I give up :/
  8. I can't rest until I beat your score
  9. I'd give it to the poor......... *cough*
  10. I'm sure you can find plenty of psychologists or studies that will "prove" so. But, you know ripper, you can't depend on scientific studies to believe that something is true.
  11. after or during a break. Before won't do you much good.
  12. Haha, what I'd do for a wife that wields swords
  13. 'ello there, mate Welcome to the forums.
  14. Pfft. Give Me any guy, light contact, full contact, UFC, ballet, and I could kick his *. *scratches crotch* yeah man..
  15. I'm guessing they would have to be in a gi, or something that could relate to asian culture? Because I have plenty of drawings of Greek Hoplites going at it
  16. Push ups, like any other bodyweight exercise, will work on your muscle endurance, unless you're pretty weak to begin with. They might improve your speed.
  17. Yeah, sure. You would waste the special ingredients (o0o0h!) of Gatorade if you just drank it when you're thirsty. It would become pretty expensive, as well Also, water will replenish you just fine after a work out as well, so don't think you have to depend on Gatorade for that.
  18. ..I was thinking it belonged in the Humor/Jokes section
  19. If the woman had a weapon, I'd apply whatever force necessary to keep her from harming anyone. Of course, I would probably hesitate and be more reluctant with her than I would be if it were a guy. If she didn't have a weapon, and she was just trying to provoke me by shoving me, etc., I wouldn't hit her. Like DLopez said, it's just a no-win situation. But a woman would have to be out of her mind to hit me anyway... but then again, most are
  20. Gatorade will replenish you faster after a strenuous work out than water. However, that's all Gatorade was made for, you shouldn't drink it just because you're thirsty.
  21. likewise (at least somewhere around the age).
  22. calisthenics/weight lifting are both a good supplement to your martial arts training. I do a mix of both.
  23. Wouldn't that be because the police are trying to get them on the ground to gain complete control of them, incase they resist arrest? ..Atleast that's what they do on the TV show Cops :/
  24. water doesn't help?!
