  1. 1,000 members! This is a very important and great milestone for the community. Suprising, I don't have much else to say. I would like to thank the many users that have made positive contributions to the KarateForums.com Community.
  2. There are many different articles that people can write for KarateForums.com. - Editorials - these articles are usually expressing the opinion of the author on a subject. - MA News - these articles are supposed to convey a Martial Art event, sticking to facts mostly. - Interviews - this would be an interview of someone of prominence in the Martial Arts community. Questions could be fielded from the KarateForums.com users. - Tips/Tricks - explanations of various MA tips/tricks and how to execute them. - MA Media Reviews - book reviews, movie reviews, DVD reviews of MA related items. - Other types of MA related content. Just thought I would pass it along.
  3. The response has been decent. Every keep nominating though. The more the merrier. Thanks.
  4. Actually, no. There are not chat times, we have decided against it. Arys, We've tried setting a chat time every week and it just doesn't work. We are considering having an event at some time, with a lot of anticipation so that a lot of people show up. For now though, we leave it up for people to use as they want. Thanks.
  5. When an argument crosses into personal attacks and such, it really leads to thread to be closed. And this is the case.
  6. Cool.
  7. We don't have to let anyone in. Please write your articles and contribute them. You can find out more by reading the Article Guidelines in the Articles forum. Thanks.
  8. Thanks Leaf. Everyone get in there and nominate! This will be a neat event.
  9. Please read the Article Guidelines as they apply to pictures (it gives you instructions). No, the authors do not have to take all of the pictures. But, you will have to tell me where you got them, so that I can look into it. Thanks for the question. Everyone else: You can now submit your articles! We want to build up a database of articles before we start, so we can keep updating. So the sooner we get a bunch of (maybe 15 or so) articles that we get, the sooner we can officially launch this feature. Thanks.
  10. Welcome.
  11. Hmm... that isn't your old username. (You just signed up for it. ) What was your old name then?
  12. It'll happen eventually. This thread shouldn't be taken too seriously.
  13. Hello everyone. I have made the Articles forum public. Please start to submit your articles as you complete them. Please read the Article Guidelines fully. http://www.karateforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4831 Thank you... I hope that this feature is a success.
  14. I changed the stats page a bit. http://www.karateforums.com/forums/statistics.php Refined some of it and added a new category - Most Active Topicstarter. Thanks.
  15. 50 is a little much. I could probably do it... but in a watered down way. A bunch of people on my buddy list more or less. Lets just do it naturally.
  16. Oh, monkeygirl, ending two weeks ago I was ill for a month. Hope you get better. Phenomenon, J. 20 just isn't that much, it needs to be upped.
  17. this?! We need to set a time and all be online to change that stupid line, I am getting sick of reading it.
  18. There is no strict schedule. However, if we don't get at least 2-3 articles each week, the feature will cease to exist. I am confident that it will be a success, however.
  19. On the issue of payment, this is a volunteer position. You will not be paid. The benefit that could be received is the experience of writing, if you wish to pursue that field. Besides that, there is nothing that I can offer writers.
