Quick correction - the Cowboys are hosting the Ravens this week, the Raiders played the Ravens last week and won in Baltimore. Honest mistake and easy to make, just wanted to clear it up.

My guess is that Maye will be the starter sooner than later, it is really just a matter of when the coaches think he is ready. What they want to avoid is putting him in too soon and having to pull him, that can hurt the confidence of a rookie QB and be a major setback.

Rodgers looked good tonight against New England. Forty years old, coming off a major injury, and going strong. Two TD passes giving him 480 regular season TD passes for his career. He needs 29 more to pass Favre, and if he does it would put him into 4th all time. He is still well behind Tom Brady who had 649 which, of course, is the record. If Aaron stays healthy, I think the Jets can go deep into the playoffs. On the other side, I expect it will be a long year in Foxboro as the Patriots are starting a new era.

Absolutely.

A second person who was shot had been hospitalized but is now dead. Absolutely ridiculous. If you are shooting someone over a football game, you are taking the sport too seriously.

Dana said recently about McGregor "He will fight in 2025. I wasn't very confident he would fight in 2024, but he will fight in 2025."

I really should check the scale, I have not done that yet. The classes can be a bit chaotic. It seems like at times there is not a lot of planning, they just wing it and throw things together as it goes along. Better organization would be nice. It is not always like that, but it can be.

Lions lost, then at a postgame tailgate party a fight broke out that lead to a shooting and someone getting killed. Sheesh.

Aaaaaaaaand I've changed it again. I figured the skull would go well with-it being Friday the 13th today, and Halloween coming up. I went from never having an avatar to having two in less than 14 hours. -

I am not sure what happened but last night I wrote and submitted a post in the football thread that did not go through, then when I came back today my replay was set up, but did still need to be posted. I have not had this problem before with the old or new software, so I don't know if it was a mistake that I made, maybe I thought I submitted and I did not, or there was a glitch that lead to it. Figured I would let you know. -
Right after he signed a four year contract this offseason that pays him over 200 million dollars. Honestly, I hope he decides to retire. It is not worth it to wreck your future. If he were to retire, he would get at least 90 million of those dollars. Take the money and protect your heath before your brain is mush. This is not a prediction, just what I would like to see. Related to his performance - he had a terrible interception that was returned for a TD, and the Dolphins lost the game by 21 points.

Regular season will start on October 8. Wow, it feels like hockey season just ended and we are already less than a month away from it starting again. Summer always goes by fast. -
Same. According to my monitor I burned 700 calories in an hour workout on Thursday, but I have no idea if that is accurate, or how accurate it is about heart rate itself. I was not started yet and was already at 93 heart rate, which does not make sense

I'm liking the icon on the bottom right where I can give a thanks or thumbs up to a post. -
It is coming along. I am starting to feel like it has become part of my routine, which is good. I began wearing a heart rate monitor during my workouts this week to track my heart rate and calories burned. I'm also drinking a protein shake after every workout.

Makes perfect sense to me. Good answers.

What are some of the most useful lessons you have gotten out of martial arts training that were not based on technique? For me it was probably disciple and respect for authority. As a young adult I did not have enough of that. I'd also say the element of self-control. When I was in Hapkido we were told "self-defense is an extension of self-control," and "we can't control what others do but we can always be in control of ourselves." I remember in my early 20s being so frustrated when I couldn't get people to do what I wanted. I would not like how they acted, tried to convince them to do something different, and they often ignored me and said, "I do what I want." Martial Arts helped me learn to accept that I can't control the decisions others make, and I learned to let go, embracing my own free will more.
