  1. ohh....fenris he/she has a point there, we saved your as*.
  2. i dont mean to affend (wait yes i do) but ive never seen anytone purposely try and back up a statement by saying, 'im a history teacher' the first rule of history text book: the nation the book was published controls the history, not history itself. try looking at a british history book and look under the american Revolution. didnt find it/ yea, check 'The Colonist bloody rebelion" a bit of a difrent perspective. the truth about history is usally a mix of everyones story with a little bit added we will never know about. History teachers are limited by there respective goverments.
  3. another one? lol, we act like were at a shortage?!
  4. stupid new zealander! us americans dont have to spell! we have bigger guns than all the literate countries!
  5. i pretty much do everything, though my favorite is classic rock and i have a problem with modern rock. Some pop is okay, but the good stuff is barried in so much crap its hard to tell! i like Madonna, and i like whoever did that "There not gonna get us" yes, the video was gay.....literaly,....but the song is pretty good.
  6. im convinced Fenris that its mostly out of jealousy that you hate us *snikers* (dosent even have 1 air craft carrier) *snikers*
  7. dont get me started, the whole concept really ticks me off, any thing can be a sport, just stupid people like to make limiting comments often time about there own style!
  8. i dont knopw violin aint easy i hear. My taste in music has diversified even further since i started working at taco bell, we have a big culutural mix with four countries represented! Im getting my first rap CD ever that a friend there is mixing for me Friday. im so happy! i feel like ive graduated out of craker school or something! "lets get it own, lets get it own! lets get it own till the early morn!"
  9. lol, you know when i sawthis post i figured someone was gonna come up with an anti-death celebration deal, should have nown it would be the new zealander. so how many more do we have to go? ill be an intellegence officer soon, i hope theres still one left for me to find! Then again, i want the easy job, i want them to assign me with helping finding Bin Laden. i say its easy because i mean, come on! how many 7' foot tall araib guys are there?
  10. yea this brings up a question for me though, befor ei went to the dojo i read alot of stuff that talked about a predetermined kumite, ive never seen this done at my school, we always do it off random, no prearanged movements.
  11. 35 a month, i can train monday, tuesday, thursday, friday and saturday, but i personnaly only go regualrly on tuesday, and friday and thursaday if im off.
  12. i agree, the fun part is when you know theres an agent on the other side of that wall, you know he is standing, and your crouching down, he is at the top of the staircase. now guessdimate were to put the aimer so you get a head shot when that nervous shaking index of yours beats down on the R1 button. i read about omega strain at IGN, the AI is supposed to be crazy smart to. you can also do stuff in online like, if you come across a destroyed stairwell, you can help your partner get accross, then he can lend a hand to help you up. one thing i hope changes though that i hated is ow some people have like, no response at all when they get shot in the arm. first of, i can tell you right now from what my JROTC instructor, an ex-corunel of the army Rangers during vietnam, told me. if you get shot with a .45 your going to fall, i dont care who you are or were you get shot.
  13. thank god. i mean dont get me wrong goldeneye and tommorow never dies were good games but Syphonfilter has an ora about its gameplay that isnot to be tampered with.

oh by the way! rember us talking about, im not sure which thread, the possibility of a Syphon Filter movie? and we couldnt think up a good Lian Xing. Have you seen the first Bad Boys? shed be pretty good to i think.
  15. will, actually, since the german v is a w wouldnt it be "wilkomen auf diem forums." the accent sounded french...wait am i actually talking about this? whats wrong with me?
  16. summed what up? why im an idiot or why karate is being used as a media punching bag, amongst the cahos im getting a little hazy.
  17. that makes since yusagi, kinda like every style has its spot light, right now it seems to be BJJ. it was karate, and for a little bit TKD, then there was the whole kung-fu era, i honestly think Krav Manga will be the next big thing but im sure karate will come back again soon. *reads Andrew's post* were the heck is the ignore button on this thing. look at least combine your persoannl attacks with statments, like i did. if you actually read my post youd see they very clearly state, i do not claim the a wrestler could never take me down, im simply saying he wont always. im not going to incriminate myself before i even fight by claiming i will be constantly defeated. but perhaps this all roots from some dramatic experince you had against a wrestler that made you so frightned of them. andrew.....is there something youd like to talk about? im here for you man. but we already have apost with us bekering, so let me get back on track. I think that last post made a lot of since, its a trend thing, because karate used to be what it is back in the days of Chuck Norris's reign. which is intresting, you guys think the trends have a lot to do with whats going on in hollywood?
  18. i find it humorous that you creat the longest post here, since your one of the perptratos i had in mind in creating th thread in the first place. as far as growing a thiker skin, will yea i dont give a dam, i love what i do. but i just hate for something as good as karate to take so much crap and have such little respect. your right TKD gets hit pretty hard. i think its because of the same reason as shotokan, its got some really solid schools and solid fighters and then a whole bunch of useless rip offs. north america! now i do have a headache....you say you studied how long? im sorry it just all sounds like the ramblings of some ex-millitary guy in a bunker trailer talking about how evil the goverment is while he loads his gernade launcher. i really hate to say that but Andrew, right you may be, i mean what the hell do i know right? but im just not buying it.
  19. were did that come from? look i wont rebudle attacks like that after this because what ive found about argueing is its quite pointless. its not like your going to say something brilliant and someone else will be like 'oh my god your right!' so normally id just argue about something completely made up and diffrent, this works 98% of the time, except for the occasional agresser who will simply change subjects along with you. but yes ive done a lot of research on a lot of diffrent style because i love martial arts. just like i always say about travelling 'i love my country, but before anything i am a citizen of the earth' im not an isshinryu karateka, will i am, but im a martial artist. everytime i here about a style or art ive never seen before i crave information and go seeking it. (speaking of which, if anyone knows of a good online Krav Manga reference id appriciate it) and the only completely unmoving statement i make is this, and i will stick to it for my life. i dont care if your 102 and have been practicing the verticle punch in your mother womb, you can not say that any style is an absolute domminant. i think its been said somewere that im claiming isshinryu is, im not. yes, im saying an isshinryu karate ka can defeat any fighter. why? because of the fighter! just like a Jujitsu practitoner or a tae kwon do practioner, or a shotokan prationer, all because they are GOOD FIGHTER. I am sorry you lost faith, but that dosent make you right. i can justifiy that by saying there are many good sensais who have trained and studied a lot longer than you, and they havent. i wonder if this enlightning vision you saw is nothing more than a diceving mirage.
  20. Lately ive seen A LOT of stuff were people come into martial arts message boards, chats, magazines, news articles websites ect. ect. and for no apparent reason get a thrill out of bashing one of the most powerful styles in the world. i dont know if its jealousy or ignorance but why do the other styles always pick on us karate ka's!!!??? im not trying to be disrespectful i just honestly want to know, what gives? and im not asking for a description of why YOU think your art is so much better than mine, trust me ive heard quite aenough of that, tell me the real reason alot of you (not all) like picking on us! just let it be stated that i have alot of respect for almost every style of martial art out there.
  21. dude did you just say it will probably do you more good anyway??? on a KARATE FORUM! what style or art do you study, do you relize you just did the equivelent of walking into harlem with a KKK shirt???? what are you thinking!
  22. in reguards to your last post sai, it applies to me to. however SMR, please not that i dont claim to be a master if isshinryu, but merely a master of good common scence. and based on my knoladge of physics i do not see how a wrestler is going to take me to the ground EVERY TIME. i like wrestling to, but im telling you skill is everything, and hobbitbob will likely be the next to jump me after this statement but my over confidence actually keeps me alive. i do not downgrade other fighters (will, maybe the Gracie Brothers) or other styles (okay, given, i hate BJJ mostly for political reasons though) but i am quite confident that there isnt a person alive i cant defeat. not saying i would win, right now, at this moment, but its against my life philosophy that any task is impossible. and how do you explain the success of Kyokushin? what makes you think an isshinryu student would be so much less successful. such ideas have been planted in our heads by a biased martial arts media that consist mostly of paid advertisers in magazines that make belive they no what there talking about. oh im all for studying a grappling art along side karate, i probably will myself, but really, as my boss likes to say "do the dam thing" and you shouldnt have to worry that much about being taken to the ground. but i shouldnt make uneducated ussumptions. (please to god dont qoute that) ill view some of these videos of karate being defeated by takedowns and see what went wrong.
  23. really? will that is evil! oh man, that is so evil! and will do so many bad evil things, to people who are good....i like it, cause its so bad!
  24. Gatlinburg, hey your in tennesse? no wonder there are isshinryu schools near you! your in the Isshinryu capital of the USA! its at some convention center, hang on ill see if i can send you the pacage that has all the information in it. its on the 1st and 2nd of august i know. but i think the 2nd is when all the fighting and kata is going on.
  25. yea, kives nailed it, but his barely speaking english if your not already a student of martial arts. ive never gotten an injury, and ive seen only one or two people that have, mostly because they were old fogeys though. id say the easist injury to get would be a sprained ankle because of all the pivoting we do, but ive never seen it happen in my school. every instructor deals with things diffrently, usally they just show you what you did wrong, though in some drills my instructor makes us do knuckle pushups. (like that distance drill with the escirma between you and your partner, you know were its on your waist and you have to not let it fall by moving in time) anyways, i wouldnt worry a lot about that, and contrary to SOME peoples beliefe, id like to point out that there IS some grappling, no not as much as jujitsu, go freakin figure, but if you end up on the ground as an isshinryu fighter, youmade a mistake somewere anyways.
