  1. go for it. some people are mature among there years. there are some younger instructors at our school, or assistant ones i mean. and they deserve as much respect as anyone else. if they have worked and earned the spot to be an assistant then they should have as much respect as other older instructors.
  2. it depends on the weight, sex, and rank of the person. i am a girl and heavy weight starts at lik 135 and lightweight is like 115 and less. something around those lines.
  3. i just fold it and then when i get home i hang it up or if it stinks, i wash it.
  4. we do everything in korean. like we don't greet each other in korean. we talk mostly in english. like we do out forms and basic moves in korean but my instructor translates the words for the lower ranking students and for those who forget. we also count in korean. some schools don't do anthing in korean or the other language, it just depends on the instructor and how she/he runs the school or dojo.
  5. speaking of grahics and things, could anyone tell me where to get a tkd related one that would fit on this site, under my belt?

  16. yeah. you do have to compete at state. it is an aau tournament. you have to get top 8 to qualify. i'm not sure if your state's tournament has already passed or not. i also like the open tourney's. they are fun.
  17. our school is SO close. well, not everone, but a lot of us. i hang out with a lot of people outside of class. we have a christmas party, a pumpkin party, and summer picnic a canoe trip, and we also go to the bluegrass nationals. i also hang out with like my instructor with a few other people like on the week end sometimes and stuff. we also always go out to eat after sparring class. we are definately a social martial art school. we are really close.
