Hey guys, At karate training tonight(26th October 2K1) I was coaching for the first lesson, not much training done there except for choku zuki punching in Keiba Dachi. I was in the second lesson training with my legs and kicks. Here is a list of what we did! 1) there were various squares chalked onto the floor in white. 2)we had to grab a partner and count the amount of kicks we could do on each leg without dropping the chamber of our kick. 3) then we changed leg and did the same on the other side. 4) we did this with 3 kicks, - Mae Geri (front kick) -Yoko Geri Kiagi (side snap kick) -Mawashi Geri (roundhouse kick) On the way back home I found that my legs were tightening up, This is a sign of leg conditioning and muscle growth. Has anybody done something similar, If so what did it involve. Thanx a lot guys!

Have you tried Karate, I have the same stats! Tall , 6"3 Skinny, 12stone Can't touch my toes Can Dance Only 14 I can do karate with no trouble at all, you are not presured to kick very high, the techniques come from your hips(get good hip manipulation from dancing). I have been karate training now for around 36 months and don't regret a second of it. Tell me what you think!

Dinner, - Turkey sandwich, Ham Sandwich, Apple, Mars bar! Tea - Spaghetti Bolognese, Cheese, Bread Dessert, - Apple pie(2), Evaporated Milk I love this diet. I tried 35 Kg, too easy.I switched to 45Kg. I weigh in at about 12 stone.Dunno what that is in metric units. Good to see our good doing is having an impact on other people wanting to join in. _________________ Anthony Bullock 1st Dan Shotokan Karate Karate International Black Belt Schools (UK) (Moderator of health and fitness forum) http://www.karateforums.co.uk [ This Message was edited by: moobrack on 2001-10-23 06:27 ]
