In total agreement with Canadain77 : Training while sick is all relative. Head cold, yes. Flu, no. Upset stomach, no. Anything more serious than these basic things are a no, as well.

It's good, but really just CGI standard for the gaming world. Really it's just another player option. Were-as this is spooky.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPyoiOTdHio -

Congratulations and well to everybody concerned. Admins and members alike. -
Interesting side light on GKR and what others think of it. Yes, GKR members go to Japan to train along with JFK member's - but they do not go as GKR. They are told NOT to wear there GKR badges and to say they are from GKR, but to say they are from 'Shodokan'. This is mostly because of the low opinion they held in, but also when founded, they didn't do their research very well. 'Gokan' means rape ! Says alot about the depth of knowledge within GKR IMO.

Yes, GKR have produced some good karate-ka : in Australia ! Imagine have good they would in a good set up ? I noted long-ago the difference between GKR in Oz and in GB.

I echo the above comments and repeat that you are only 15. the bodies processes haven't settled down yet. Hormones and metabolism will be all over the place. It will settle down and the effects you are after will kick in. But when.....no one can say.

MMA : Has become by definition, a title pertaining to a full contact competitive training method. Through UFC etc, it has evolved into what we have now and has laid claim to the title - MMA. The the evolutionary process it has under gone and the origins all the traditional martial arts we have now, are very similar. There was a phase within martial arts history, following WW2, were arts started to by exclusive. 'Throws are Judo, this is Karate, we don't do throws.' sort of thing. This was the sort of thing the drove Bruce Lee to attack traditional arts back then. I think we can say that that phase is well and truly over - long before MMA, by the way- many saw the error in this phase and approach. All martial arts in the 21st century are 'MMA' , there are no 'pure' arts as such. But the title MMA, now means just the one thing.

So...who's created their own style?
andym replied to chrissyp's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
No style is perfect and answers all the questions. We all need to mature the style along with ourselves. Some do this be adding or removing, but remaining within the style. Others feel the changes are so great they need to define this as a new style.
