  1. Hello and Welcome to the forums!
  2. Great Read! Thanks for sharing!
  3. I think you'll be pretty safe sticking with that one.
  4. Welcome! Great to have another experienced MA on the board. Look forward to your posts!
  5. Welcome! Glad to have you here. I'm sure some nunchaku questions will come up that you can be helpful on!
  6. Moved to MA and Politics. I haven't ever witnessed any racism in the dojo, if anything it has pulled people who may not have been friends in everyday life together into a family. That's my experience.
  7. Welcome to KF! Keep training hard!
  8. I've known of this one for awhile, and it appears they update it from time to time. I enjoy it! Some good articles and ideas on things.
  9. Pictures are great! We always take pictures as a group when we have a visiting instructor come to our class to teach. We have had instructors come from Seattle, Florida and Boston. The one from Boston actually brought a student of his down who was testing for his Third Degree Black Belt. That was awesome to see. We have pictures. Take pictures, it's great to look back and see faces from your extended family that you have crossed paths with.
  10. Here is a couple I found in the UK. From looking at them I believe they offer separates. Good Luck! 11. I know that both the Karatedepot and Century both sell separate pants and jackets. I'm sure some others do as well. Hope this helps! 16. This forum is not here to say one art is better or worse than another. It is here to compare the strong points of one art against the strong points of another or the weak points for that matter. And as White Warlock has said there are many different styles of both Karate and TKD so if you could be more specific it may help the posters answer your question. We'll be watching this topic and if it turns too confrontational it will be closed. Thanks in advance for keeping this discussion civil. Greg KF Sensei
  17. Thanks Gyte, my Dad was born and raised in Germany and tried to teach the language to me and my brothers growing up but we as kids thought we had better things to do. I sure wish I had learned German now. Thanks again for the translation!
  18. Yeah, not very creative but for a beginners class it my be good enough.
  19. Check this site out. It shows the kata itself and then the bunkai of the kata. At least one application of it. Hope it helps. Oh, it's a German site but you can make out the names without a problem. Just not sure what everything thing else says. http://www.budostudienkreis.de/Video/VidUbers.htm
  20. I'm lucky. It's only about 2-3 miles away.
  21. Good Job! Keep up the good work!
  22. Best wishes with your grading!
