  1. Good article! Our Hanshi tells us that there will be peaks and valley's in our training. A lot like a roller coaster ride. Lot's of up's and downs. He says those who really love the art will hang in there and take advantage of the slow times in training to better themselves.
  2. Good Luck! Stay relaxed and focused. Let us know how you did.
  3. Why so much trouble for 12 miles? It is amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in a short period of time. My parents retired a few years back and instead of trying to move all that stuff (30 something yrs. worth) they just sold the family home to my brother. Made him a good deal too! Well, congrats on your move!
  4. Hello and Welcome to KF. I'll move this to the intro section so more folks can say hello.

  9. I hope you're not out of action for too long. You have become a very good poster in a short amount of time. Good luck with your move. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. battousai16, here's a link explaining the history of the wooden nickel. Something about a bank running out of money and making there own out of wood. I wonder if that would work with my creditors? http://www.wooden-nickel.net/history/

  15. Are you tired of all those sissy "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that really speaks to true friendship: 1. When you are sad - I will help get you drunk and plot revenge against the sorry sucker who made you sad. 2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you. 3. When you are scared - I will rag on you about it every chance I get. 4. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be and to quit whining. 5. When you are confused - I will use little words. 6. When you are sick - Stay the heck away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have. 7. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy butt. This is my oath...I pledge it till the end. Why?, you may ask. Because you are my friend. Send this to 10 of your closest friends, then get depressed because you can only think of two and one of them isn't speaking to you right now anyway. Remember: A good friend will help you move. A really good friend will help you move a body. Let me know if I ever need to bring a shovel.
