  1. Cowboys 2025 schedule is what it is. My wife and I were going to attend the Cowboys VS Raiders here in Las Vegas on November 17th, her being a Raiders fan and me being a Cowboys fan BUT… Lowest ticket for that game is $575 for the nose bleed section…that adds up to $1,150 not counting any fees plus parking, which starts at $175…to park a car at the Allegiant Stadium. OVERPRICED TO THE NTH DEGREE!! We can see the 49ers in a pre-season game against the Raiders starting at $97, which is far more affordable!! Allegiant Stadium ticket prices are way overpriced no matter the event, except for UNLV college football which can be as low as $8 per ticket. Allegiant Stadium reasons for offering high ticket prices is “We’re in Las Vegas; the capital of entertainment.” HOGWASH!! GO COWBOYS!!
  2. When one feels threatened. That’s when the perceived danger is real TO THAT PERSON. Of course, that perception varies from person to person. There’s no shame in running away from ant perceived threat whenever safe to do so. It’s embedded into me to not move backwards whatsoever but to advance in any forward direction. Why would I do this if I perceive danger?? My turning around gives my attacker an advantage; an advantage that I can’t afford. I can no longer see what my attacker is doing. I’d rather have my attacker turn around instead and put him/her at the disadvantage, no matter how slight that might be. I wrote an article here at KF back in 2014 titled “CLOSE RANGE SPACE MANAGEMENT” that I believe is relevant to what we’re discussing. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to figure out how to add that link to my post here…sorry.
  3. Congrats KarateKen and JazzKicker!! You both have every reason to be proud of yourselves!!
  4. Now you’re talking!! Great help for both you and Zach. Nothing more exciting than having a guest instructor of that caliber on the floor. He definitely ran you all through the paces from A to Z and back. That’s my type of training…hit them hard and shake them up with no- nonsense training. I bet everyone one the floor was drenched in sweat from head to toe. An old Okinawa saying that my Sensei always reminded us often… “Minai chichi nai. - We learn by watching and listening!!” You both did just that.
  5. As in anything, to become effective, it takes sufficient time. Is BJJ training, for example, mandatory in the LEO’s training?!? Maybe it should be. I can only imagine that making BJJ training mandatory could cut down lawsuits, help reduce injuries to both the LEO’s and civilians.
  6. I guess you-know-what is no longer frozen. Pete Rose and “Shoeless” Joe Jackson have been reinstated by MLB; both now eligible for Hall of Fame. This announcement came from baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred on Tuesday. The Commissioner also stated that he was changing the league's policy on permanent ineligibility, saying bans would expire after death. Both of their baseball careers were pretty much destroyed by their betting scandals. That’s when you-know-what froze over solid. Under the Hall of Fame's current rules, it appears the earliest Rose or Jackson could be inducted would be in 2028. Never say never!!
  7. The Las Vegas Aviators, 27-13 record, who are the triple AAA affiliate for the A’s, hosted the El Paso Chihuahuas, 20-20 record, who are the triple AAA affiliate for the San Diego Padres. Only reason I’m posting this is because of the games final score, which was: Aviators 20 El Paso 2 Here’s how the game went down… Inning 1: Aviators 8 and El Paso 0 Inning 2: NO SCORE Inning 3: NO SCORE Inning 4: Aviators 4 and El Paso 0 Inning 5: Aviators 0 and El Paso 1 Inning 6: Aviators 2 and El Paso 1 Inning 7: Aviators 0 and El Paso 0 Inning 8: Aviators 6 and El Paso 0 Inning 9: El Paso 0 What a score!! Aviators better enjoy that because that kind of score is incogitable!!
  8. No surprise that my Knights failed to even-up the series between them and the Oliers by the final score of 3-0, and now my Knights trail in their series 3-1. Knights have to win EVERY SINGLE GAME HERE ON OUT…NOT HAPPENING AT ALL!! My Knights, as Ken has said…STUNK ON THE ICE!! Game 5 will be on Knights ice!! Anyone ever watch the movie “Moneyball”?? During that movie, the A’s GM, Billy Beane, whenever he was listening to an A’s game on the radio, he’d ever so often, turn the radio off and on, like that would make a difference of the game’s outcome. Well, that’s how I watched tonight’s game between my Knights and the Oilers by changing the channel quite often, like that would make everything better…didn’t make any difference whatsoever in that games outcome!! GO KNIGHTS!!
  9. Oh, now I get it…DUH on my part!! GO KNIGHTS!!
  10. This week, May 14th, if I remember correctly, is when the upcoming season schedule will be announced. On another announcement comes from FOX… “The network announced on Monday that it would broadcast a Saturday doubleheader on Week 16 – Dec. 20 – with four NFC teams ducking it out.” GO COWBOYS!!
  11. Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying but the Oilers won first 2 games ON Knight ice, and the Knights have won 1 game ON Oilers ice. It will be fantastic if my Knights win tonight’s game ON Oilers ice to tie up their series. GOT MY FINGERS ARMS, LEGS, AND EYES CROSSED FOR MY KNIGHTS TO WIN TONIGHT!!! GO KNIGHTS!!
  12. GAME 3, on Oilers ice, goes to my Knights with the final score of 4-3. Knights still trail in this series 2-1. I’m not getting excited over this win because it’s just 1 win for my Knights, and there’s still a lot of playing to do in front of both teams especially my Knights. Game 3 was a great battle on the ice!! The Oilers had 6 consecutive comeback wins coming into this game. 2 multi-goal comebacks. 3 3rd period comebacks. Longest streak in Stanly Cup playoffs history. What does all of this mean?? That the Oilers are a team to be reckoned with and taking very seriously. Corey Perry of the Oilers is the oldest player in Oilers history with a multi-goal playoff games. Tonight my Knights scored 2 goals in 54 seconds in the 1st quarter. Kind of took the wind out of the Oilers sails for that moment. Karlsson made the go-ahead goal in the 3rd quarter. Hill had 17 saves on 19 shots. It’s that winning goal for my Knights with only 0.4 seconds remaining in the game that got my attention when the puck deflected in the net off an Oilers stick. What a winning goal that was!! Game 4 will be this Monday on Oilers ice…puck drop at 6:30pm pacific time. GO KNIGHTS!!
  13. As much as I hate to admit it, it’s all over for my Knights!! Oilers are a better team, for the moment, than my Knights!! Until next season!! GO KNIGHTS!!
  14. AAAAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!! 5-4 Oilers in OT!! Oilers lead the series 2-0, and now they go to Oilers ice!! Not looking quite promising for my Knights!! Another 3 goals in one quarter…the 2nd quarter this time for the Oilers!! Wake up Knights!! GO KNIGHTS!!
  15. What in the world happened?!? At one point, my Knights are taking care of business against the Oilers. That was until the 3rd quarter. WHAM!! The Oilers became focused and snatched the momentum away from my Knights. 5 comeback wins?!? Who are these Oilers?!? HERE FOR A REASON, that’s who they are!! My Knights have to dominate the 3rd quarter…not lose the momentum…FOCUS…because my Knights don’t want to be down 2-0 on Oilers ice. GO KNIGHTS!!
  16. Perhaps my patience as a fan is getting more and more thin because being a 1-and-done team in the playoffs for many years has worn me down. Dak is entering his 10th season. His playoff history can only be a disappointment because Dak is only 2-5 in the playoffs. Cowboys haven’t advanced to the NFC Championship since he started playing there. My hopes for Dak to be traded are dashed because his contract won’t allow the Cowboys to trade him without a substantial financial loss across the board for the Cowboys.
  17. Get rid of Jerry Jones!! I think NO player is going to help. IMHO!!
  18. Round 2 of the NHL 2025 Playoff schedule has been announced. My Knights are seed 1 VS 3rd seeded Oilers, and here’s their round 2 playoff schedule… The Golden Knights will face the Oilers in a best-of-seven series beginning May 6 at T-Mobile Arena. Puck drop is at 6:30 p.m. PT. ***Below is the full second-round schedule (Times are PT): Game 1: Tuesday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Las Vegas | ESPN Game 2: Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Las Vegas | ESPN Game 3: Saturday, May 10, TBD at Edmonton | TBD Game 4: Monday, May 12, TBD at Edmonton | TBD *Game 5: Wednesday, May 14, TBD at Las Vegas | TBD *Game 6: Friday, May 16, TBD at Edmonton TBD *Game 7: Sunday, May 18, TBD at Las Vegas | TBD (* if necessary) If you teams made it to round 2, what’s their schedule?? If your team didn’t make it to round 2, and IF you’re rooting for a team, what’s that team’s schedule?? GO KNIGHTS!!
  19. Jerry will never be satisfied with just being the owner. Dak is not going to get the Cowboys to a Super Bowl because he can’t get the Cowboys past round 1 of the playoffs.
  20. The ice finally melted for the Wild. Another hard fought battle between my Knights and The Wild as my Knights have advanced to Round 2 of the 2025 NHL Playoffs. My Knights will now face the Oilers in Round 2, which is surprising to me because I thought that the Kings would’ve beat the Oilers. Round 2 schedule has not been announced. GO KNIGHTS!!
  21. CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE UPDATE: I saw my kidney doctor, Dr. Marwah Al-Khazaali, M.D., and she says that my last bloodwork shows that my numbers went down!! That means that I’m in between stage 3 and stage 2, which is great news!! My kidney doctor was very happy with my progress!! She wants to see me in 5 months!! She wants me to stay away from SALT!!!!! *NOTE: I’m sorry that I’m posting ALL of my different medical updates within my prostate cancer thread, and I know it might be quite confusing to follow, but I thought it might be best to post ALL of my medical updates here in this thread instead of starting new medical threads for each.
  22. Dr. Goodman decided to leave the practice early, which means I won’t be able to thank him for saving my life and nor will I be able to pick his brain for recommendations for a new Oncologist!! Comprehensive Cancer Center has helped me to find a new Oncologist!! Dr. Imran Ahmed, MD. I don’t know much about him at the moment. I have an appointment with Dr. Ahmed on May 16th at 8:15am. The one good thing is that Dr. Ahmed’s office is much closer to where I live; Dr. Goodman’s office was a 30 minute drive from where I lived but well worth the drive.
  23. Yeah… Tough break for the Wild. Good for my Knights but not so good for the Wild. Game 6 will be on Wild ice tomorrow and the Wild will be their most dangerous. For my Knights to win game 6 they’ll not make mistakes because Wild will capitalize on them handily. GO KNIGHTS!!
