Jerry will never be satisfied with just being the owner. Dak is not going to get the Cowboys to a Super Bowl because he can’t get the Cowboys past round 1 of the playoffs.

The ice finally melted for the Wild. Another hard fought battle between my Knights and The Wild as my Knights have advanced to Round 2 of the 2025 NHL Playoffs. My Knights will now face the Oilers in Round 2, which is surprising to me because I thought that the Kings would’ve beat the Oilers. Round 2 schedule has not been announced. GO KNIGHTS!! -
CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE UPDATE: I saw my kidney doctor, Dr. Marwah Al-Khazaali, M.D., and she says that my last bloodwork shows that my numbers went down!! That means that I’m in between stage 3 and stage 2, which is great news!! My kidney doctor was very happy with my progress!! She wants to see me in 5 months!! She wants me to stay away from SALT!!!!! *NOTE: I’m sorry that I’m posting ALL of my different medical updates within my prostate cancer thread, and I know it might be quite confusing to follow, but I thought it might be best to post ALL of my medical updates here in this thread instead of starting new medical threads for each.

Dr. Goodman decided to leave the practice early, which means I won’t be able to thank him for saving my life and nor will I be able to pick his brain for recommendations for a new Oncologist!! Comprehensive Cancer Center has helped me to find a new Oncologist!! Dr. Imran Ahmed, MD. I don’t know much about him at the moment. I have an appointment with Dr. Ahmed on May 16th at 8:15am. The one good thing is that Dr. Ahmed’s office is much closer to where I live; Dr. Goodman’s office was a 30 minute drive from where I lived but well worth the drive.

Yeah… Tough break for the Wild. Good for my Knights but not so good for the Wild. Game 6 will be on Wild ice tomorrow and the Wild will be their most dangerous. For my Knights to win game 6 they’ll not make mistakes because Wild will capitalize on them handily. GO KNIGHTS!! -

Wild and my Knights are battling on Knights ice tonight. I’m nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs because the Wild are no push over; they’re extremely strong across the board!! GO KNIGHTS!! -

The beauty about stances is that in short order how one was taught any said stance changes to fit one’s fighting abilities. The other beauty is that one doesn’t always, if ever, see a textbook stance during sparring. We see that practitioner’s adaptation of said textbook stance. It’s so inevitable. No one uses every taught stance when engaging as their preferences, which is another beauty of stances. Textbook taught stances are great for Kata and that’s about it, imho. ”Use what is effective; discard the rest.”~Bruce Lee

Mistakes cost my Knights in game 3 on Wild ice…5-2. Knights better wake up soon. Things looked promising early after the puck dropped, but the dogs of havoc returned and what was once promising, quickly turned into a nightmare. Wild, I hate to say, have figured out my Knights across the board…and I hate that. But I got to respect Wild because they’re here this playoff for a reason. Wild leads the series 2-1, game 4 tomorrow at 1pm pacific. Game 5 on April 29th on Knights ice…game 6 and game 7, if necessary, Minnesota, then back to Las Vegas, respectfully. GO KNIGHTS!! -
Great info and ideas of drills, auric; thank you for sharing this with us. Always interesting to see drills from other styles.

If I may, without me sounding like a broken record… Complicated?? Something is complicated for two reasons: 1) Practitioner is learning something that’s new and strange to that person. 2) Practitioner isn’t mature in said technique, and that’s because that person is afraid. I’ve been on the floor for 6 decades and in all of that time, I’ve never seen not one technique that is effective when either both points above become evident to exist in any practitioner. Imho.

Yeah…last night for my Knights was…WILD…and not kind!! Knights were spanked by Wild by the final score of 5-2. Wild scored 3 to the net before one could even say…THIS IS WILD!! My Knights travel to Wild ice this Saturday…puck drop will be 1pm pacific time. GO KNIGHTS!! -
Thus far, you’ve received solid feedback to your OP question. Instead of providing more detailed information/explanatios to your enquirer, please allow me a more simplified answer… Whether a kata is or isn’t either “beginner” or “advanced”…one’s Governing Body makes that decision.

My Knights take a lead, 1-0, in their playoff series against the Wild. I’ll remain optimistic but guarded because the Wild are no pushover. GO KNIGHTS!! -
Heal first…get approval from your doctor to return to training, secondly!! The floor isn’t going anywhere; it’ll be there with open arms when you return to training!! As you already know, kobudo training can be quite taxing at times, and a body that’s mending can hinder its progress in any training, and libido is no exception. Hang in there!!
