I know exactly where you and James took that picture, I know that place very well, you two were both standing on the sidewalk near the parking garage and close to the California Pizza Kitchen at the Hollywood and Highland Center. The Hollywood Sign is right behind James.

Yeah, I made it a point to stay home yesterday because it was the Denver Nuggets' championship parade. No way in heck was I going to try to drive through that insanity. I that regards, I believe that you and I might 've decided quite smartly.

Yeah, Paul Maurice said that no less than 4 guys were playing with broken bones. Aaron Ekblad, for example, had a broken foot, a torn oblique, and separated his shoulder, TWICE. And yet he still was playing at a very high level. Honestly, to a certain degree the team that can stay the healthiest through the playoffs will often win. To win the cup you clearly have to be good, but I do think that you have to have a little bit of good luck also. Health, matchups, puck bounces, ect can all play a factor. That is not taking away anything from the winner, just the reality of a two-month playoff format. It definitely takes an entire team effort hitting on all cylinders to win any Championship.

Going to be crazy. Are you planning to attend? No way!! After seeing the sea of fans outside of the T-Mobile Arena during the Stanley Cup Finals, and the Strip being closed to cars on both sides with that being an Ocean Swells of fans. I think I'll just stay home!!

As everyone knows by now, the Vegas Golden Knights are the 2023 Stanley Cup champions, and their fans won't have to wait long to celebrate their victory. The Golden Knights are set to hold their championship parade this Saturday on the Las Vegas Strip starting at 7pm. The parade will begin on Saturday on Flamingo Road and will extend to Tropicana Boulevard. The Strip will be closed on both sides during the parade. After the parade, fans will get together Toshiba Plaza and the Park District in front of T-Mobile Arena at 9pm. This is not the first time that the city of Las Vegas had the chance to celebrate a Champion. It's now the 2nd time. The WNBA Aces won 2022 WNBA Championship with a parade on the Strip, which a big celebration was in full force in front of the Bellagio fountains. It was the first-ever major sports championship for a Las Vegas-based team. What's cool to me is that double-decker buses are on deck to transport the Golden Knights down the Strip. What a better way because the players will be very easy to see on high with the Stanley Cup in tow. Since 1995, players, coaches and club personnel from each championship team get their own day with the Stanley Cup. They can take it back to their home country, show up at their childhood rink, introduce it to all those individuals who helped along the way in the journey to obtain the Cup. Where the Cup goes, so does the Stanley Cup Keeper. Five people guard and protect and shuttle the Cup from one place to the next. The five Keepers care for the Cup, makes sure that the Cup is not damaged, and ensures that the Cup is treated with respect. The winning teams players get to each spend a day with the Cup, and they get to take the Cup wherever they want to. I've no idea the order of who gets the Cup first, second, and so on and so forth. What I do know is that the Stanley Cup will be very busy for a bit as it continues to earn more air-miles on its journey of celebration. One day, perhaps, there'll be another Championship parade and celebration should the Las Vegas Raiders ever win the Super Bowl.

KNIGHTS WIN CUP!! Las Vegas Golden Knights dominated the Panthers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on their home ice by the score of 9-3 for their first Cup Win. Guess by them deciding to not touch the Cambell Trophy when they cinched the Western Conference was quite fortitude because it apparently helped the Knights win the Cup. Last time the Knights went to the Stanley Cup Final, they touched the Cambell Trophy back in the 2019-2020 season and lost the Cup to the Dallas Stars in their Cup series 4-1. The Knights get to add their names to the Stanley Cup. Well deserved. Points breakdown: 1st Quarter 0-2 for the Knights 2nd Quarter 1-4 for the Knights 3rd Quarter 2-3 for the Knights Capping off a final score of 9-3 Knights had a great night. Captain Stone got a Hat Trick from his zone and Eichel had 3 assists. Goalie Hill had 31 saves. The Panthers fought their darndest against the Knights. Panthers even tried an empty net but to no avail whatsoever. It didn't help that the Panthers were without Tkachuk who had 11 goals and 24 points. Soon as the puck hit the ice, the Knights were on fire and the Panthers couldn't even get a spark no matter their best efforts. The Panthers at least didn't get shutout against a far more determined Knights who won the Finals series 4-1. The Knights are Champions of the NHL!!

I'm 65 years old. I started when I was7 years old. My training has always been my everything on and off the floor. At 65, I'm no longer that whippersnapper that I use to be of both my youth and my slowly aging of my adulthood. My fight with cancer has taken its toll on my body, especially with my lower spine. My transitions have suffered the most. Support groups support their belief that the term "Cancer Survivor" does not mean that ones free of cancer. No. Instead, that a "Cancer Survivor" is one that is still alive and fighting the good fight. As of now, I can't stand long or walk far. With PT, I'll get stronger, but only in time with God. I still train hard!! However, to be honest, I'm quite aware of my limitations on and off the floor. I don't like it at all, but I respect to the fact of what I use to be able to do, I can't do at all or as well as I use to. Changes in regard to my training had to be made. First, I had to accept my limitations!! Without that, there's no fruitful training at all. While my full translation wasn't there, I still have semi-translation. Therefore, I had to change to utilization of my set-ups with my feet. In short, instead of being 85% hands and 15% feet, as Shindokan methodology dictates, I'm now more 95% hands and 5% feet. Once I get my hands on my opponent/attacker, I use their body to help me transition more completely. Getting behind our attacker is paramount. Knowing I'm aging, I don't try to do things like when I was younger or when I was in my 40s and 50s. Pushing myself is ideal but without foolish intent.

Seems that Shu Ha Ri is what Metaknowledge is in regards to the MA. Afterall, Moreover, Shu Ha Ri is a universal principle that describes the natural order in which mastery is attained. It's a concept that describes the stages of learning to mastery, and without experience there's no knowledge, no matter the type of knowledge. Metaknowledge being defined as knowledge about knowledge, however, all types of knowledge are dormant without applied experience. There's the underpinning that states...The summation of 'Why" is to the summation of 'Because'. Techniques, for example, for them to become effective must first mature, and for them to mature, there must be knowledge, but first there must be a correlation of experience. Imho!!

Any time that the Knights can hold off the Panthers is accelerating, and the Knights did it again in game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. The next Knight win means that they've won the Stanley Cup Final...quite exciting. Stephenson made 2 great goals and of course, Karlssom made the game winning goal...Karlsson has been a scoring beast. Hill made 29 saves...he's been top-notch at the net...he's the first goalie in NHL history to win 10 games in a single postseason after not playing in his team's opening round. Looks like Tkachuk barely played in the 3rd period due to an injury. Not having him on the ice for the Panthers was felt by the fans and the roster. When a key player is on the bench and not on the ice, nothing can be worse for the outcome. Even though he was well enough to join the fight. He's uncertain for game 5. All you-know-what happened right at the end of the game. Pietrangelo might be punished for leaving the penalty box to join the brawl Let's face it, fights happen in hockey; it's the way of hockey. I couldn't tell who the Panther player was that came flying into the heap of players at the net, perhaps it was Pietrangelo, but again, I'm not sure. What I am sure of is the Panthers being quite frustrated might've sparked the post-game scuffle. Game 5 might be the end of the Final but it might be one barnburner of a game with the Panthers back against the wall in the corner. GO KNIGHTS!!

For the most part I use a landscape timber that can be purchased at any home improvement store for a very reasonable low price. They stand very well against all types of weather. They're flat on each opposite side, which makes it great to add either a pad or wrap around the timber. Installed correctly, the timber still has that same resistance with that snapping back for some give. I started using landscape timber quite a while back because I was just tearing makawari posts up, and that was starting to be a tad pricey. Pads VS Hemp Rope?!!? I believe that that's up to the individual. If one wants to go with hemp, and that persons conditioned for hemp, then wrap away. If not conditioned, then start with a pad first.

Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals is on the books. In OT the Panthers won with a final score of 3-2 at just a tad over 4 minutes by Verhaeghe, which gave the Panthers a 7-0 record in playoff OT for the 'W'. Knights still lead the Cup 2-1; a now tight race. Panthers Tkachuk was the saving grace for the Panthers. He is now tied for the League lead with 24 points this postseason. Knights have to keep the Panthers OUT of the OT if they want to win the Cup. Marchessault extends his scoring stretch. He's 13 goals during the 2023 postseason. All of that with what he did in Game 3, he's not cooling down for quite some time. Panthers needed the big 'W' like their life depended on it...and it most assuredly did. Otherwise, going into game 4 behind 3-1 against the Knights is sheer torture. It was a pretty game on both sides of the ice with no team dominating the other, even though the Panthers OT win has a very pale shade of victory Game 4 is this Saturday, June 10: Vegas at Florida, 8, TNT GO KNIGHTS!!

The A's ballpark bill dies with the Nevada lawmakers. Senate Bill 509 struck out with the Nevada Legislature. If that Bill had passed it would've earned up to $380 million in public funds for the construction of the A's planned 30K seat $1.5 billion Vegas Strip ballpark on the site of the Tropicana Las Vegas resort. The public funding included $180 million from the state in transferrable tax credits, of which $90 million would be repaid via a sports entertainment improvement district set up around the 9-acre stadium site. Clark County would contribute $145 million, of which $120 million would be repaid by revenue generated by the tax district, with $25 million going toward infrastructure improvements. MLB Commissioner, Rob Manfred indicated that the A's relocation could be approved by the owners meeting in June 2023 in New York. I've never been favorite about having a cities residents footing any money in the relocation and/or construction of any baseball team. The owner(s) want to move and/or build a new stadium, then do it with their own money. Not with any of my hard earned money. Sure, I want the A's to relocate here in Las Vegas but my reasoning is pure selfish. Having the A's here in Vegas means that I get to see my beloved Yankees in person whenever the A's host the Yankees in their brand new ballpark right here in Sin City. GO YANKEES!!

Just 2 more wins will secure the Knights first Stanley Cup Finals as Champions. Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final goes to the Knights 7-2, which has the Knights leading the fight for the Cup 2-0 games. Now, the Knights travel to Florida for games 3 and 4. Knights just need 2 more wins before they can haul up the Cup theirs and for their fans. Jonathan Marchessault scores twice and starts an early blitz that chases the NHL’s hottest postseason goalie, and Adin Hill continues his stellar play in Vegas’ 7-2 win over the Florida Panthers. No team in more than 25 years has been more dominant than the Vegas Golden Knights through the first two games of a Stanley Cup Final. They have outscored the Florida Panthers by eight goals, including Monday night’s 7-2 victory in Game 2 that put the Knights two wins from the first championship in the franchise’s short six-year history. Many have the believe that teams facing what the Panthers are now facing can be turned around by playing at Home. I believe that the best team will win no matter wherever the venue might happen to be. It's the effectiveness of the players, and sure, home fan support can energize a team cand cause a win. Will you be going to any of the games? No! Lowest ticket is $441; too rich for my blood. It's free on TV. Like most events here in Las Vegas, ticket prices are through the roof. Triple A Baseball with the Las Vegas Aviators are the most reasonable ticket prices, at around $20. Great game 1. The Knights came from behind to win!! Knights found gold with discipline, offense, and with Hill making 33 saves, with one of those saves an incredible stick save. Knights are now 8-3 when allowing the first goal in the playoffs. The Knights have 9 come-from-behind wins. Game 2 tomorrow in Vegas. Knights have to remain as humble as apple pie because there's still a lot of games to be played. GO KNIGNHTS!!

Not an idea situation from a business whatsoever. Your persistent paid off but only if the belt actually shows up on your front door porch. Me myself, good reviews about this business or not, I'd cast them to the curb and not do any further business with them anymore; just too many red flags.

Knights completely dominated the Stars in Game 6 of their Western Conference Finals to the tune of 6-0. At the end of the 1st quarter,, the Knights took a 3-0 lead. Then at the end of the 2nd quarter, the Knights added one more goal to 4-0. Then by the end of the thrashing, the Knights added 2 more goals to a blowout score of 6-0. The Knights were far more aggressive in game 6 against the Stars than they were in games 4 and 5 by far. The Knights attack on the puck was so evident that all the Stars could do was stay on the defense. I believe that the Stars ran out of gas due to how hard they played in games 4 and 5, and when game 6 came, the Knights gas tank was full due to their not so aggressive attack on the puck on games 4 and 5. After all, the Knights took care of business to win games 1 and 2 and 3. In short, game 6 was Goldens for the Knights!! Now onto the Panthers in the Stanley Cup. KarateKen has given us the Stanley Cup schedule...thank you, KarateKen, and looks like the fight for the Cup begins in Las Vegas for the first 2 games, then to Florida for the next 2 games, then both teams go back and form to their respective home ice. January 12th the Knights beat the Panthers at home 4-2. March 7th the Panthers beat the Knights 2-1. So, one can take those stats and come to their own conclusions to address what might happen when the Panthers and the Knights tear up the ice in the Cup Final. The Knights are 6-3-1 against the Panthers in their all-time matchup. One interesting note, Marchessault could be heard on the ice encouraging his teammates not to touch the Campell Bowl. The Knights touched the trophy in 2018 and lost to the Capitals in the Stanley Cup Final. Superstitious or not, the Knights are ready for the fight of their lives against the well-rested Panthers who swept the Hurricanes 4-0. GO KNIGHTS!!

After game three I picked Vegas to sweep. Then win in five. Do I dare pick them to win game six? Eh.....they will win in either six or seven. Knights do NOT want to go to a 7th game because the Stars would just continue with their momentum. Knights need to end it all tonight in Dallas. GO KNIGHTS!!

I've had the distinct honor and privilege to have been a part of KF's milestone growths for the past 15 of KF's 22 years. KF has endured its ups and downs, of which, empty chairs sit around the KF table, that can be viewed as the downs, however, the continued new member growth can be viewed as the ups. Either way, KF as a family embrace each and every member both the seasoned as well as the new with the sincerest open arms. I'm so very glad that KF has been in my life all of them years because KF and its members have made me a better person on and off the floor. Thank you, Patrick, for having the foresight to launch KF and for being a very dear friend and consummate administrator that you have been since day one. HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY KF!! May you continue to live on here as well as in our hearts!!

Well, the 3-0 Knights have now seen the Stars win the last two games!! Here I sit with my head in my hand, however, isn't that how any playoff goes. I still believe that the Stars can NOT win 4 straight games against the Knights. I sure hope I don't end up eating my believes. GO KNIGHTS!!

Shindokan is like Football. Very physical, a lot of audibles, and end-arounds with some punts sprinkled in. What sport is your style like??

Las Vegas Knights WON over the Dallas Stars in Game 1 in OT 4-3. Great action and some great goal defending at both nets!! House was sold out too!! Knights WON tonight against the Dallas Stars 3-2 in OT. Knights lead against the Stars 2-0 games. The Knights, in both games, have made the winning goal very quick in the first and only OT for both games. Games 3 and 4 will be in Dallas, TX. After game 4. if more games are necessary, they will flip flop between Vegas and Dallas. Knights might find themselves back in the Stanley Cup since 2018 where the Capitals beat them 4-1 games for the Cup.
